Took Nyx to the vet yesterday for her 8 week follow up, blood draw (labs came back great! 🎉), etc. and she made sure I knew how hard of a day she had later that night 😔🥰😔🥰

Finally watched Weapons! We happened to guess what was happening about 30 minutes in, but it was a really good movie overall.

Had a group session on "Menopause and Hormone Therapy" to prep for my upcoming surgery (yay for surgical menopause!) and... I know I shouldn't have been, but I ended up floored how - in the year 2025 - there still is a lot of "we don't know how that impacts [women/women's health/menopause/etc"

As my partially impromptu vacation starts nearing its end, I'm filled with dread at the thought... I have to somehow go back to a set schedule and routine.

I decided to clean my desks today (omg they need it so bad) and figured it was finally time to add the nameplate and set Him where his home will be. It's been a little over a year now, but I still miss him every single day 💔

As someone who tries to keep each book in its most pristine condition, this hurts 😫😂 I appreciate people who can do this, but for me the read-until-it's-destroyed = I will never get to read it again (will it be difficult to find? is it no longer in print?? etc. etc. etc.) + I just can't bare that

I know the movies haven't aged well in some respects, but watching Indian Jones and the Last Crusade with Momento last night will never fail to remind my Arthurian nerd ass that it's my favorite movie of the series.

Me, after not going to bed until 4am the past two nights:

Yesterday was the day I finally did it. The thing I knew would always happen. Instead of rinsing my contact with my saline solution, I wasn't paying attention and rinsed it with my hydrogen peroxide solution before putting it in my eye. "Oh, gods, it burns" doesn't even begin to cover it 💀💀
