I have just been watching Buy Now! on Netflix, about the negative impact of consumerism. A very thought provoking and depressing documentary, if you haven't yet watched it, I would strongly urge you to do so!

Is it really too much to hope for all of us to exist in a world of peace, tolerance, understanding and humanity? Why am I continually appalled at our capacity as a species for acts of cruelty, inhumanity and frankly utter shithead morality. For fucks sake people, please can we do better?

I'm currently watching Cover-Up, on Netflix, which explores the life and work of Seymour Hersh. I would urge everyone to watch it if possible, and try to stop yourself exclaiming HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Of course a lot of this is already in the public domain, but it still leaves you exasperated!

Depressing....

I'm a newcomer to this platform, and I'm struck by the general mood of a lot the contributors who are clearly concerned about the future of the US, It's helpful on the one hand to get a real sense of what our US cousins are experiencing, but now I'm more depressed on your behalf than before!

It struck me this morning, feeling a little craggy from last nights alcohol consumption, that I'm sure most humans instinctively intuit that alcohol is a poison, and yet we still indulge, perhaps this is also true of toxic social media platforms, and political parties and leaders. Discuss.

I never really tried "The Other Place", the one a certain demographic here in Blighty affectionately referred to as "Twatter", so I was curious about discovering how many tw@ts are on here. Very few it seems, but a great many cats, more than I could ever have imagined.....

That's the last time I fall for that trick.....
