When I got in to this really big Mario Kart mood I found out that the first two arcade games were basically built on the Gamecube architecture and thus emulateable by a branch of Dolphin, so that was cool.

Going back to MK8 after playing a ton of world, it really is very different in feel. I utterly sucked at it, it took ages to get back in to it and get golds in even 150cc.

interesting. I guess in a way, since you stop at the arbitrary 10k poko point, its entirely likely that a new player would immediately go to the new area, and honestly the Dream Den is easier to get to than the Hole of Heroes. It is really quite likely that you could save Louie right away.

When I was playing TTYD HD I basically had to force myself to get to glitsville, before I couldn't take anymore. Then I went and played the original and very quickly got back to where I was and had a great time. Even went and spent a couple hours just working on side quests. Funny that.

Another thing that sucks about TTYD remake: now its all fancy lighting you loose out on the comic style dot shading the original used.
