You are in a shadowy land of low, rolling hills stretching out to the west and south. The land is bordered to the north by a massive stone wall. Ancient and weathered, the wall has crumbled enough at one point to permit passage.

This is a small room with no windows. The sole exit is southwest. Two wide consoles fill either end of the room; thick cables lead up into the ceiling. The console on the left side of the room is labelled "Reeseev Staashun." A bright red light, labelled "Tranzmishun Reeseevd", is blinking rapidly.

Dimwit's mania for including every conceivable ecosystem under his roof continues here. This flat grassland ends at woods to the northeast, and at a desert to the west. A herd of unicorns is grazing nearby.

This is the edge of an inhabited area. Crude hovels are scattered here and there, becoming denser as you move aft.

You are swimming on the surface of a pool in the dark. From the sound of your breathing you can tell this is a fairly small area.

You are at the southern end of a long hall. To the south, stairs ascend into darkness. To the north the corridor is illuminated by torches set high in the walls, out of reach. On one wall is a red button.

The anteroom is large and empty. Marble bas reliefs depict the stirring times and afterlife of the Flatheads (the latter a bit optimistically). The exit is to the west. A huge marble door stands to the south.

You are in the aft cabin aboard the barge. There's a door to the west which leads out to the deck, and a short ladder, permanently mounted to the deck, going down into the depths of the barge itself.

This is the garage for Maintenance Mice. There are several stalls in which non-functional mice are rusting away. Other stalls are empty. There is a chute into which trash could be dumped, and a large bin nearby. A maintenance-mouse-sized door is in the forward wall.

The garage holds four cars quite comfortably, each with its own separate door. After parking, one can leave through the door to the east, which leads to a covered walkway and the main house. At the house end of the garage is an immaculate workbench.

This is the first half of a sterilization chamber to prevent contamination of the delicate biological experiments in the Bio Lab which lies beyond. The door to the west leads to the main lab, and the bio lock continues eastward.

This is the western half of Halley Park, bordered on the north by a car lot, on the northwest and west by the zoo, and on the south by Halley Drive. A dried-up pond bed fills the center of the park. Near the zoo entrance is an entrance leading down to the Tubes.

River Street curves here, heading downtown to the north and under an old railroad bridge to the southeast. To the northeast is an entrance to a massive indoor city.

A secret passage from the north ends here at this east-west corridor.

This is the main cabin of a fashionable passenger ship, with exits to the 'east' and 'south.'

The low tunnel ends here in a small cul-de-sac. The way back is southeast.

This is a large room, one half of which is depressed. Salty water flows from a large leak in the ceiling. The only exit is to the west.

This is a car lot for the Foodville to the northeast. The exit is northwest. An industrial park is visible beyond the fence that borders the rear of the lot to the south and east.

You are in a room whose walls are covered with gold leaf. Your light reflects off the walls with a rich, warm tone and reveals the outlines of hieroglyphics engraved in the gold itself.

There's so much junk in here that there's barely enough room for you.

Higher than all but the poop deck, this end of the ship commands a good view of the island.

This is a plushly carpeted room draped in deeply hued velvets and satins. The sole exit is south.

You are on a ledge in the middle of a large volcano. Below you the volcano bottom can be seen and above is the rim of the volcano. A couple of ledges can be seen on the other side of the volcano; it appears that this ledge is intermediate in elevation between those on the other side.

You are deep inside a large coal mine, at the top of an air shaft. You could descend into the shaft; passages in many directions lead further into the mine.

You have just located a serious bug.

With its concrete walls and floor this room looks as if it might be a bomb shelter. A heavy-duty sawhorse has a plank across it.

This is a dusty old attic with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling rafters. The attic is empty except for a trunk. A ladder leads down through an opening in the floor. To the south there is a closed door.

Eastbound Midland Avenue forms a T with River Street at this intersection. To the northeast is a graceful structure of marble and glass, bearing the black radar dish symbol of the Church of God's Word.

This musty little room is barely more than a crawl space beneath the roof of the hut.

The focus of this room is a hand-carved, teak pool table. Strange, but the 8 ball is set apart from the rest. A stained glass, rectangular light illuminates the pool table top. Shelves on the east wall hold an assortment of games.

You are in a strange, round room which sits in the center of four hallways. These hallways lead off to the northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest like the spokes of a wheel. Above your head is a long tunnel which stretches up and out of sight.

This enclosed sunporch of your penthouse apartment is surrounded by an outdoor patio, accessible to the south. To the north is a sprawling living room.

This is obviously the heart of a large coal mine, illuminated by a wall-mounted lamp. The bottom of a metal coal chute is visible at the north end of the room. Another chute continues downward at the southern end.

This is a sunny, cozy bedroom, barren of furniture. The only way out is to the west.

This is the upstairs hall. Stairs lead down.

You have come to the end of two adjoining passages to the west and the northwest.

This is a wide but not very tall docking bay. The station entrance lies to the east.

This is a tiny shelf of granite atop a sheer cliff. Below, you can see a misty bog and, beyond that, the ocean. Far to the northwest is a large stadium; to the southwest, a town. A path leads east into a hollow.

You are on a road at the fringe of Anthar. The road continues north and south. In the latter direction, a hastily constructed fence of rock and wire blocks the road. A sign is posted in front of the fence. A smaller path heads eastward.

You are on Aquarium Drive where it passes under the old elevated highway that runs through the city. To the east is the north side of town, and to the west are the suburbs.

You are standing on a square plate of heavy metal. Above your head, parallel to the plate beneath you, is an identical metal plate. To the east is a wide, metallic strip.

You are on a narrow ledge near the bottom of a deep ravine. The ledge continues to the west. A precarious climb up to another tiny ledge is possible. A short scramble down the rock face leads to a stream.

This is the subbasement of the Aeronautical Engineering Building. A stairway leads up. A narrow crack in the northwest corner of the room opens into a larger space.

You are in a small room, which was used by a bank officer who retrieved safety deposit boxes for the customer.
