The day seemed to drag on after all that, but at last, 8:00 had finally arrived, and she was waiting for him at his manor. Heart pounded in her chest as she thought about what had happened earlier, as well as what was to come.

Ester could only nod in response, the pain she was feeling made it nearly impossible to talk. He was right though, she did have a spare key to his manor. “Yes, I will explain everything.”

Well, looks like *that* part of him was still intact unfortunately. Still, she needed answers. Her hand shot out to grab his shirt collar to pull him back to face her. “No, I need to know what happened to you. How do you remember *that* event but not me?!” Orange eyes flickered like—

“About anything. Even if it doesn’t include me.” She figured it would be best to evaluate his memory before pinpointing exactly what the problem was. “What is your earliest memory?”

She was stunned for a moment, hurt even, hurt that he had forgotten about the love they had. However she would not admit defeat so easily. “Hold on.” She stopped him from leaving. “Tell me, what do you remember?”

“What?” Vega was never one to pull practical jokes, especially not of this nature. Something must have happened to cause amnesia, or worse, he has been brainwashed. “You… really don’t remember? Oh god what happened…”

Huh, interesting, from what she recalled he was more than receptive towards these kinds of advances when they were from her. Alas, she let go and stepped back a bit. “Oh come now, you remember your darling wife, don’t you?”
