Have you wondered about the small holes along ball python lips? These are heat pits that detect infrared radiation, letting them 'see' heat. Their eyesight is poor, about 20/400 compared to 20/20 in humans, but they can find warm-blooded prey up to 40 cm away in darkness in half a second.

The warm weather calls for something cold❄️ We just added a slushie machine to Origins Kitchen, and it is ready for the weekend! Come cool down after exploring the galleries or the park. Choose a regular slushie or go all in classic PG Screamer-style by adding some delicious soft-serve ice cream.

When a cockroach moults, its brand-new exoskeleton starts out completely white and soft. Over the following hours, exposure to oxygen causes it to gradually harden and darken, transforming into the tough, dark exterior these incredible insects are known for.
