Finally got nix-darwin fully setup on the MacBook. It’s actually great! With Home Manager my NixOS machine and laptop are basically the same now. Really cool stuff, you can do a lot with nix-darwin tbh.

Just discovered Vicinae launcher - basically Raycast for Linux! Only a few months old, but damn, it's looking solid. Killer docs, tons of config power, and a NixOS focus I absolutely love! Give it a try if you're bored with rofi/dmenu!

TIL swap doesn't have to be a partition, it can just be a file. It’s exactly what pagefile.sys is on Windows. Mind blown. 🤯 Figured this out while configuring NixOS - turns out the recommended way is declaring a simple /swapfile rather than messing with partitions.
