Oh boy! Episode 7 of #DaredevilBornAgain S2 felt straight out of the #Netflix series. The dramatic tension. The build up. *THAT* reveal, which shouldn’t mean anything but, I screamed! Not because of the intended surprise, but because it FINALLY felt like #Daredevil.

Apparently Spidey’s has been making #StarWars references long before the #MCU Spidey’s Empire line in Civil War. This was #AmazingSpiderMan #251. 1984. That’s kinda cool how it’s always been canon that #SpiderMan cracks wise about Star Wars before it was corporate synergy. 😝

So like, shouldn’t #RichardMadden be a bigger star in Hollywood? Great actor. Looks decent. Amazing onscreen presence. Kicks ass. Has done noticeable work and crossed over pretty well. But still not a star or not doing anything bigger, it seems. I wonder why? #Citadel

I’m definitely a #Citadel apologist. Cuz I like the show— but these dialogues and plot points—Uff! I have to believe the actors were aware of the campy-ness cuz it feels like they’re having fun and keeping it light. Or #StanleyTucci is, anyways. 😝

I think I like #Citadel for how #Bollywood it feels. Secret lives, assassins, memory loss, dual loves, the past returning, words colliding. Very retro. Hell, that’s basically part of Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge! 😝

It’s a huge improvement from S1, but #DaredevilBornAgain S2 still feels… sloppy. While great action, amazing performances and many surprises— there’s still random storylines, underdeveloped characters, pacing issues and weird choices. Loving #WilsonBethel & #ArtyFroushan!

Oh yea! I totally forgot about Heather in #DaredevilBornAgain! But it also feels like, so did the show? Missing for like 2 (?) episodes and now back with kink-therapy. Which is fine, but seems like an afterthought. Just like other subplots this season. #Daredevil

Decided on a whim to immerse myself in the 3 seasons of #Citadel shows after the 3 min S2 trailer (because that’s how my brain works) & 30 seconds into my S1 rewatch I immediately understood why the trailer leads with #StanleyTucci He’s AWESOME in this. Action star Tucci?! 🤘🏽

Love how interconnected #StarWars is now. In #MaulShadowLord, Lawson’s apprehension to call the Empire is VERY understandable. As we’ll painfully see years later what happens when a different manhunt brings the Empire to Ferrix in #Andor. It rhymes.

Outside of that Kessel uprising scene in #Solo, has other #StarWars media (novels, comics, etc) ever covered the treatment of droids in this universe, given their (obvious) sentience? I loved the #StarWarsVisions S1 episode T0-B1. But wondering if there’s others? If not, why?

We're almost 1 year from the #Andor S2 finale. And I still can't think about those last 3 episodes without tearing up. The power that these stories have, to influence us, reflect our own history within and affect us so deeply-- is why I'm a life-long genre fiction fan. #StarWars

A group of B-grade mercenaries, with SO much personal baggage, literally walk into a void, risking death or worse, to save one of their own? Fuck off— #Thunderbolts is gonna make me cry. They REALLY earn that logline. Esp considering this isn’t new, but works SO well here!

It’s insane how much having a loyal underling to the villain grounds them and makes them even more intimidating. Buck with Fisk in #DaredevilBornAgain. And Mel (Geraldine Viswanathan) with de Fontaine in #Thunderbolts. I think Mel’s a HUGE part of why she works here.

1 moment I can't stop thinking about in #TheMarvels. When Kamala's brother prays (in Arabic) for their lives, Nick Fury encourages him & adds an 'Amen' of his own. It's the kind of religious solidarity you don't see in media. It's always the differences highlighted instead.

#CaptainMarvel's arc in #TheMarvels reminds me of that Clark & Lois debate in #Superman. How superheroism isn't just flying into a society, smashing all the bad guys & saving the day. While it's not #TheBoys level of commentary, I'm glad it's there. Especially in an #MCU movie.

I had such a BLAST with #TheMarvels. Holy crap! Most fun I've had with an #MCU movie in this new saga! The chemistry between the 3 leads, the fuckin' Khans in space!, Nick Fury's one good eye!-- everything worked for me SO well! Sure, the villain is meh, but that's standard no?

The 2nd & 3rd episodes of #DaredevilBornAgain S2 were completely fine. But it had this absence of energy that you don’t realize the show needed— Until #MatthewLillard abruptly shows back up talking bat-shit in episode 4. I REALLY hope he makes it and stays in the larger #MCU.

#DaredevilBornAgain is definitely keeping the tradition from the #Netflix #Daredevil series of having 1 insane action sequence every episode that we talk about for weeks. That Bullseye opening of S2E4 was SO well done. Mostly for that song and #WilsonBethel’s performance.

Ok. So I’ll say it. #MaulShadowLord feels like everything we thought #TheBookOfBobaFett was going to be. A former antagonist returning to the fold, only to disrupt the current underworld status quo for his own nefarious reasons. But this is already so. Much. Better! 🤩

The contrast between Mr. Charles & Fisk is startling when you look hard. Charles is just sitting there. Relaxed. Mark’s Work Warehouse poster-boy. So unserious. His very existence is offensive to Fisk given how he carries himself in those same regards. #DaredevilBornAgain

I’m kind of loving the marriage of the J. J. Abrams’ #StarTrek and the #TheJetsons future aesthetic that #StarfleetAcademy has. It feels like a modern upgrade to what the distant future may look like from today, than what was imagined in the 60s, then 80s.

#DaredevilBornAgain really turned me off the #Daredevil series altogether. Felt like a poor imitation of the original #Netflix series. And while I get that there were many unforeseen reasons for it, ultimately, I just couldn’t invest in the story. REALLY hope S2 brings me back.

The more I read #JoshuaWilliamson’s #Superman, the more it feels like this story is the template for #JamesGunn’s #DCU. There are very SPECIFIC characters who appear like Brainiac & Lobo, who are also in #Supergirl & #ManOfTomorrow respectively. Aaand Peacemaker just showed up!
