Tonight’s movie is Excalibur which has been on my list forever. How long is forever? I can still remember it being excitedly hyped by friends in my 4th grade playground when it came out because it has breasts and butts.

The Monet in Venice exhibit at the DeYoung is excellent but the crowd was a bit too much. Maybe I can try to sneak back up to the city on a weekday. 🤔

Tonight’s big screen adventure is The Lady Vanishes (featuring me with mad scientist hair).

This is the filthiest book I’ve ever read and I’m only 100 pages in. I’m not mad (obviously) but I am surprised. This is the first book by Roth I’ve read so I presume I’m the last person to realize this about his work.

She is prepared and impatiently waiting for that sunbeam to get to where she is!

This weekend’s read was a good one.

Powers restored, but then I worked out at the gym so it got a little bit messy again.

My dad did not let us have a tv. Of course it was the first purchase my mom made after he left us when I was in the first grade.

My Criterion haul from their flash sale arrived today. Good movie nights are ahead!

Finished this book yesterday and I think it’s my favorite Mirakami so far.

Rarest of the rare: a no meeting day! Went to the gym and am now working from a cafe which is a treat because they have free refills on iced tea. I’m recovering from yesterday’s non-stop stress eating anxiety.

I watched the Seven Dials Netflix show and even though I didn’t love it I was curious how it differed from the book so I read it last week. They are not the same!

I was underwhelmed by Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die, but it was better than staying home and doing nothing.

We went up to SF to see Pillion for Valentine’s Day because I’m a romantic.

I just saw a woman at a coffee shop who had an adorable pet rabbit on a leash. I’m mad that I didn’t get a picture. But truthfully I wasn’t in the mood to talk and get permission so it’s ok. I’ll forgive myself.

I did my taxes last week and got a refund for the first time in ages. (Yay!) But my bank has gone crazy with their targeted marketing.
