They are doing a Marilyn Monroe film festival this summer and tonight I watched Clash By Night for the first time. Amazing acting by almost everyone but the script, adapted from a play, was clunky.

I stumbled across the original Airport on TCM and it’s surprisingly watchable. It’s fun to see how it inspired Airplane! which I’ve seen a million times.

Today I voted and now I’m going to watch a Star War in the movie theater.

I don’t read much Sci-Fi anymore, but I’m glad I read this one. I loved how it felt like a throwback to the old-school adventures but with a contemporary sensibility.

Out to see this classic tonight and it is a mob scene. Always fun to see with a big crowd.

Tonight’s movie is Excalibur which has been on my list forever. How long is forever? I can still remember it being excitedly hyped by friends in my 4th grade playground when it came out because it has breasts and butts.

The Monet in Venice exhibit at the DeYoung is excellent but the crowd was a bit too much. Maybe I can try to sneak back up to the city on a weekday. 🤔

Tonight’s big screen adventure is The Lady Vanishes (featuring me with mad scientist hair).

This is the filthiest book I’ve ever read and I’m only 100 pages in. I’m not mad (obviously) but I am surprised. This is the first book by Roth I’ve read so I presume I’m the last person to realize this about his work.
