There are many good answers to this question, but I think there's one that's the best.

I just searched for "Is Trump dying" and, somehow, refrained from adding "Please let it be so" but only because I wanted the search to be accurate.

Apparently, ChatGPT linked someone to my blog yesterday. That's scary. I didn't think any of the LLMs were aware of me yet.

I'm seeing that a trans person saying the mildest thing against JK got them suspended by Bluesky. Trans rights are human rights. I hope karma catches up with JK in my lifetime.

It is possible the world doesn't want me to go to Worldcon today. Alarms didn't go off. Uber driver tried to take a route that would add 45 minutes to a 20 minute drive. Really hope to be in Seattle soon.

I've seen more conversations about conversations than actual conversations. Sydney Sweeney woke up one day, looked in the mirror, said, "I would like all of the money now." Hence, American Eagle, Baskin Robbins, and who knows what else. Girl, get your bag.

Been sick all week. Covid test says negative. Melissa hasn't been sick at all. Probably not Covid. Been reading Dayquil/Nyquil bottles. "To avoid liver damage, no more than 4 doses in 24 hours." "Adults, take a dose every 4 hours." I know I'm sick, but that doesn't math in my favor.

When it happens, you're probably not even going to learn about it directly before you feel it in the air. You'll just hear car horns and cheering in the streets. You'll feel confused, annoyed. You'll check your phone. Huh, 41 new texts.

In the grand scheme of things, this is really small. But I really hate that people will associate the word "grok" with Musk's shitty MechaHitler. They didn't need to steal that from Heinlein fans.
