Deciphering the signs

Made a trip over to Bempton this week. It was testing capturing the Gannets in flight but I'm quite pleased my right eye is good enough to use the camera following my first eye injection for macular degeneration. The sight improvement has been very good.

Quiet simplicity in the reeds

My vision has changed, it feels like I have a weird lensbaby attached to one of my eyes...living with macular degeneration. I've tried to replicate it using a prism. How life likes to throw us these challenges, I now have to rise to it

A series of images I made in 2023 called the Graphic Nature of Water. Mostly double exposures but some singles taken around the waterways of Leeds and Wakefield. The camera shaping the familiar into something abstract and otherwise unseen.

I'm impatient for spring and summer to arrive, the warmth and light, the colours of growth and change. I learned a new Japanese word "komorebi" the shimmering of dappled light through leaves, a feeling of serenity and peacefulness

Following a heart attack and a stent fitting in January I haven't had the inclination to pick up the camera however, following a quick recovery thanks to our brilliant NHS I am feeling ready to get going again and that includes enjoying my creativity in any way I can.
