As a teen in the 80's, I devoured everything I could read that was set in the Humanx Commonwealth. Alan Dean Foster's books took me to worlds that ignited my love for science fiction and fantasy. Nothing spoke to me quite like the insect-like Thranx. What was your decisive moment in sci-fi/fantasy?
