A selfie taken this morning helps me to realize three things! 1. I need a haircut. (I really dislike getting haircuts.) 2. I need a beard-trim. (At least I can do that myself.) 3. Florence is precious.

Flo and Amy love to keep an eye on the neighborhood out front. It's a quiet street, so they get excited when a car goes past. They love when someone walks by or the kids play in the street.

This is the South Umpqua River, walking distance from my house (or a very easy bicycle ride) here in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. A little further upstream there's a small waterfall and deeper pools for swimming.

Today's shop work is over. I clad the interior with American Black Walnut, built and installed the top sign frames, built and installed the bevelled base, and installed some miscellaneous trim and other parts. She's looking more and more like a TARDIS! www.tardiscabinets.shop

The current 13th-15th Doctor's TARDIS inspired top-opening cabinet just beginning to come together. I'll be cutting out the windows and signage so an interior light will shine through. This body is Birch, the trim pieces are Poplar. The interior will be clad in American Black Walnut. Ta... Gary

Here's an idea: Remove all the fouled water from the Reflecting Pool. Replace with rich soil, and turn it into the new Jaqueline Kennedy Rose Garden, complete with Walkways for close-up viewing...to replace the one destroyed by the fucking Trumps.

Good day everybody. Happy Saturday! It's 5am in Myrtle Creek. These are photographs of my big sister, Cindy and I in my grandparents home in Rawlins, Wyoming. Cindy was 5 years older than I. We lost her 6 years ago.

This is absolutely not AI. The first photo is me in 1975 in Banff, Alberta, Canada. At was was then called The Banff School of Fine Art... now Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. The second photo is me this morning. Wow! What a difference 51 years makes!

Cat zoomies: the pure chaos we never asked for but always adore. One minute they’re tiny tornadoes, the next they’re purring angels pretending nothing happened. Floors get scratched, hearts get melted, and somehow the house survives. Life with cats stays entertaining.

I was expecting a delivery today. Tracking followed it from it origin in the east 4 days ago to Oregon this morning, but it never arrived. Sigh. Goodnight everybody.

I've decided to take a half day off today. I'll go out to the shop around 11am to give anyone in earshot of a tablesaw (my loudest tool) a peaceful morning. My workshop, of course, has a door I keep closed. I've no idea how the sound carries. Nobody has complained. I just don't want to offend.
