As I'm in the process of developing Gideon more, I've found they're an ex-heroin/coke addict (common in 70s). Since Martyr is intox-play coded, I think this is a very interesting dynamic. Gideon would have some resistance/knowledge to any intoxication/manipulation Martyr tries.

THINKING ABOUT RATBOY AND GIDEON SOME MORE: If Blorbo dies because he doesn't have Martyr's hypothetical healing powers, Gideon is INSTANTLY suicidal. I imagine that triggering tf out of Ratboy, creating a dynamic where he cannot be without Gideon's companionship but Gideon cannot be without Blorbo.

I think Gideon and Ratboy would get along so well btw. Both have a love of animals and are homeless LMFAO Gideon would love Arby's style. Blorbo is much too lazy to do more than bat at a rat's tail occasionally. The tragedy is that without Martyr's hypothetical healing powers, Blorbo would die.

I think where Martyr views others as "below" him, Gideon views others as "dangerous" and therefore cannot be trusted. Gideon literally does not care for SHIT other than their cat Blorbo...at first. I think the power that being Prophet gives Gideon would intoxicate/corrupt them.

Drawing Martyr is a unique challenge for me because he's technically jus 2 colors. Figuring out how to use very subtle cool vs warm tones in his skin vs clothing has been a very fun puzzle 🥰
