Found an interesting solution on how to rig a character with baggy pants: the starfish pose

Hans Bellmer style mannequin. I realized that it does actually require a bit of thought to design joints that have a good range of motion, so it ended up not being mechanically realistic.

Does anyone know of a linux distro with wacom tablet support that allows for both (at the same time): 1. stylus tap = left click 2. stylus tap+drag = scrolling in file explorer, browser, etc. Specifically, the stylus drag should not require another button to be pressed to work.

I played around with krita for a bit and found that the texture brushes are pretty useful. While I do like PBR + higher fidelity, hand painting is a lot more mentally streamlined when it comes to getting stuff from your brain to a screen. I would have to get better at painting though...

Another practice sculpt I'm proud of, especially the head. (ignore the mitten hands)

Second character. I would put more details in the clothing but I only got a couple days left.

I wanted to play some point and click games for inspiration so I checked out The White Chamber. Very cool and unique art style.

Got back to blender sculpting after taking a break for a bit. I might redo some character models, although that would take a while

Incredibly expressive and intriguing. Its a breath of fresh air and blows a lot of indie releases out of the water.

I've spent the last couple of days working on a blender NLA -> unreal sequencer exporter and I realized its been a while since I checked if a plugin like that already exists. I'm gonna be pissed if it does

Art game, alt game, not game, arthouse game. Of these terms to define games with an artistic non-mainstream focus, arthouse games I feel sets the tone and expectations more clearly by borrowing established language from cinema. Would love to go to an 'arthouse arcade' or 'arthouse gameplay theatre'.

Current plans are to stick with unreal engine until tim sweeney comes for his pound of flesh, at which point hopefully godot will have matured enough to make the switch easier

I've been working on a dialog system. This integrates with Inkpot and allows for punctuation pauses, triggering sounds in the middle of text, and per talker/line specific styling.
