Was in Ann Arbor for the JLPTS this weekend. Of course I had to pick up some "new" books for the collection.

I had the honor of attending a presentation by Masaru Aoki, a doll conservator restoring the 1927 Japanese Friendship Dolls. It was a rare chance to see one of these 46 remaining ambassador dolls up close. Her details are stunning! I even got a special look inside her sleeve.

Good news guys! My mom's last chemo treatment will be this month, and things should hopefully get more back to normal. Thank you for bearing with me in my absence.

I know I missed yesterday's upload. My world is kind of imploding at the moment. We got the news one of my moms has cancer & it has been a whirlwind of traveling and appointments, and despite it all she is still insisting on us not canceling our trip back to Japan next month.
