Sunny day at Easton Walled Gardens yesterday. Captured a photo of a sleepy bee on a flower. Spring is on the way at last!

Mother and son time. Delicious French food with my son recently in La Parisienne Bistrot, Southwell. He enjoyed his bouillabaisse and my tartiflette savoyarde was similarly delicious. Preparing for our trip to Limoux, France in June.

Snowdrop glory in local churchyard yesterday along with poems, photos, myths and anecdotes along the trail. Tea and cake in church was very welcome in the bitter cold too!

It’s February, the Celtic quarter-point festival of Imbolc, St Brigid, Candlemas, return of the light. Snowdrops are appearing, the days are getting longer. Here’s one of my poems for Spring.

An acrostic poem for January

Happy New Year, everyone! It was great to catch up with dear friends from times past who now live in France but made time during their brief visit to the UK to call in and spend time with me. We took up where we left off, as special friends do. A fun selfie was of course required!

Just back from Durham reunion with uni friends from 60 years ago. Snow and ice, very chilly. Visited castle & cathedral as usual then Ushaw College yesterday with its magnificent buildings and chapels. Delightful trip
