You know, over the years I’ve been a Nintendo fanboy. Sure. I’ve had Xbox and Sony consoles on occasion but I’ve always kept Nintendo around. Now for the first time in ages, I’m thinking of trading my Switch 2 in for something else (SteamBox perhaps) and that makes me sad.

I tried. I liked Final Fantasy VII when it came out but the remake, while visually amazing, just isn’t for me. I don’t like the play-style and, maybe it’s because I’m older now, but Cloud just isn’t interesting.

I know @adhocstudio.com said it will be weeks til a #Switch2 #Dispatch update but that won’t stop me from checking every morning. I want to play the rest of this game but I’m holding off to see how much they’re able to negotiate in the hopes it’s enough (or better yet 100% reversed).

How are we almost eight months in, and no YouTube on Switch 2? Maybe I’m in the minority but I watched more videos on my Switch than any other device.

For those who were confused like me, to get the Switch 2 upgrade to Skyrim if you have the original game with the upgrade DLC, eject the DLC virtual card and launch the vanilla game. Then click Y on the game’s home screen to get to the free download/upgrade. help.bethesda.net#en/answer/73...

Frankenstein is my favorite novel of all time. So it’s with a heavy heart that I say… 1000+ films and we are yet to have an accurate adaptation. Del Toro’s film is wonderful and I’m hoping it gets special disc treatment but it changes too much in both story and theme to be considered book accurate.

That said, I’d rather a game be delayed than come out in a buggy unfinished state like I feel the recent Mortal Kombat Legacy did. To their credit, MKL’s developer is planning patches already. They’re a great company so I doubt the rushed release was all on them.

Ok. Since Borderlands 4 and Mina the Hollower are delayed (and it’s on sale), I gave in and got Dave the Diver. Let’s see if this lives up to all the hype.

Anyone else feel it’s a missed marketing opportunity to release Mortal Kombat Legacy on a random Thursday instead of on a Monday? If they did it a few days earlier or later, they could remake or update and reuse the Mortal Monday ads from ‘93. Those things had the world hyped for the original MK!

Pokemon Legends Z-A - my thoughts at 20 play hours. Pros: - Refreshing new battle system - Nice graphics for a Pokemon game - Core gameplay is still fun - Interesting story Cons: - No voice acting - Small (mostly) uninteresting map - Price (feels like a $40 game to me) #Pokemon

So that Nintendo Direct made me think that buying a Switch 2 might’ve been mostly a waste. No good new exclusives. Most of the old games releasing are on OG Switch anyway. In an hour presentation, only the Resident Evil and MK Legacy announcements even made my radar.

Well… I guess any debate about the #crackerbarrel logo is done. The company’s announced its switching back to the previous logo with the old man and a barrel after online backlash.

I’m not offended that they removed the old man from the #crackerbarrel logo but I do dislike that what they replaced it with is bland corporate uniformity. It’s just like the modern Taco Bell and others. Bland and dull. Uniqueness is being killed by capitalism.

Why are people saying the old man on the Cracker Barrel logo was “the cracker”? Thats not why the store is called Cracker Barrel! Sheesh! It has nothing to do with a racial slur! It’s literally named after the barrels that soda crackers used to come in and that people used as tables. #crackerbarrel

To clarify, there’s nothing else interesting (to me at least) on Switch 2 that I couldn’t have played on my OG Switch. I kept hoping for a Witcher 3 upgrade or something like Red Dead 2 or Resident Evil 2 Remake. I don’t need new games. Just new to me… and what they have lined up is just… bland.

Maybe I’m getting out of touch but that Nintendo Direct was dull. The only game even slightly interesting was Star Wars Outlaws. Other than Cyberpunk and the No Man’s Sky upgrade, Switch 2 has been a disappointing release so far.
