Today I am thankful for my mate, who has the patience of a saint when it comes to my bs, and my good friends for the same. I wouldn’t be able to move forward without you.

Life is full of distractions. I’m finding as time moves forward, this becomes more and more true. I’m starting to wonder if the number of distractions is increasing, or I’m just getting worse at handling them.

Has anyone started a successful business of their own? I could use some advice.

What is my value? I know that is a question I have to answer for myself, but I am just asking it nonetheless. No answer required.

Managing self stress: Restraining myself is stressful. Exercising constant willpower over myself uses a lot of energy and therefore depletes my resources for managing stress. Does that mean I can let myself be myself now and again? For mental health?

I Guess the bigger question for me, other than the regular business of profit vs cost and all of that is: Can I live off of my art in any meaningful way?

How viable is it to start an art business?

I'm a bit of a nervous wreck today. Hopefully some good news will be coming. In the meantime, focusing on breathing. Breathe, breathe.

Blender has definitely got its quirks, but some things are starting to make a little more sense. Nearly through with the chair tutorial. UV mapping will surely take some more practice. Will it be a good replacement for Maya for me? Time will tell.

There seems to be a trend in interviews where the interviewer asks "Do you have any questions for me?" This is so unnerving, especially when it's an unexpected interview, being put on the spot immediately to try and come up with a question that doesn't sound dumb.

I’ve occasionally thought about a rebranding of myself and my art. Perhaps as a way of reigniting that flame. Think it’ll help things? But what do I rebrand as?

I try to be a good dragon. A good person even. For much of my life, I've tried my best to make others around me happy. Because in doing so, it makes me happy. When I fail, I slip into depression. I start pushing people away. I become anti-social.

I used to be really into learning Final Fantasy music on piano. It used to be really therapeutic for me. Maybe it's something I could get into again. Here's a really old recording of dragon playing To Zanarkand on piano. Not perfect, darn claws got into the way. I should try and make a better one.

Thinking back on FurCon this year. There was a lot of running around, probably one of the busiest cons for me in a while, and yet I didn’t really do anything useful. Since I stopped dealing, cons have become like a vacation, but yet feeling a bit detached from it all.

So long FC! It was a good con this year. Well run, everything going smoothly (at least from what I saw), events were great, and got to see loads of folks I haven't seen in a long time. I'm tired, but in a good way. Time to decompress now. See you next year!

I really wish I was better at running remote meetings. I swear I get stage fright so bad I start stuttering and stammering and give awkward pauses, then I get self conscious about it, and that makes it worse. Anyone else have this much trouble with it?
