In line with previous research focusing on marginalised communities - such as disabled and LGBTQ+ workers - our #NPSD2025 research reveals that Black and minoritised workers are at significantly higher risk of abuse at work.

The government has committed to halve violence against women and girls in the next decade. To make this happen, we must close down spaces where perpetrators are able to carry out these crimes, including at work.

Frontline workers are at high risk of violence, aggression, and abuse whilst at work 🚩 In our YouGov survey, we found that many respondents had experienced verbal abuse or threats, bullying or intimidation, physical assault and sexual violence in the past year.

This week, HMICFRS released their annual State of Policing report. While some forces show positive leadership in working to support victims of gender-based violence, it's very disappointing to see that not more progress has been made to tackle violence against women and girls.

The government was elected on a mandate to halve VAWG. Over a year into its term, we are yet to see its strategy.

This week, the government announced its flagship Sentencing Bill, making provisions for sentencing, release and management of offenders.
