Tonight’s #BlindDrams hosted by us three Rentons (the Triumvirate, being three rulers) showcased whiskies from distilleries which are no more than 30 years old (Tridecadal, being a *ChatGPT word* for a 30 year period) - in honour of Lochranza Distillery’s (and Jamie’s) 30th birthday this year!

Dram 5 is a 3. Great dram. Can’t believe I’m saying this but Maybe 1 too many funky, salty, meaty, peaty drams

Dram 4 scores a 4 from me.

Finally finished my bottle of Ardnahoe Infinite Loch…no on to the Kilkerran 8yo bourbon cask matured. Looking forward to this

BBQ and a 1990s Glengoyne 10yo. Tasty

#BlindDrams Dram 5 Slightly dirty on the nose. Some old rag. Touch of peat. Palate Short Peppery into medicinal. Water really brings out the tcp

#BlindDrams Dram 4. Not loving this at the moment. Meaty notes. Spice but can’t pinpoint it at the moment. Small amount of smoke that disappears. Left with a lot of pepper coating my mouth. Score 2. Feels like a harsh score cos there’s a lot happening but nothing special to write home about

#BlindDrams Dram 3 Someone said celery and now I can’t get past that tasting note 😂 Score 2

#BlindDrams Dram 2 Dark golden / orange in colour Spice/ peat on the nose?? Really like this with water, lots of berry notes. Sweet. I agree with other comments rivens with a slight spice Definitely a sweet finish. Doesn’t linger too long. A summer dram? Score 3.

#BlindDrams Dram 1 Golden in colour. Trying to work past the alcohol. Should have had a pre dram. sharp. Short dry finish. Getting Sichuan pepper with the addition of a little water. Score 2

Dram 5- YES PLEASE! Loving the nose. Heavy damp. Taste- just loving it. Nose and palate just compliments each other. Score 5. #BlindDrams

Dram 3- sherry, cinnamon peppery? short finish. It’s alright. Disappointed by the finish Score 2 #BlindDrams

Dot 2- Ginger, hint of salt. Not a fan of the finish. Score 1. #BlindDram

I’m a bit behind. Dot 1- sweet, light, soft. Short finish. Easy. Score 1 #BlindDrams

Got this on auction for £20. Bargain. Looking forward to cracking it open tomorrow but first…bring on the #BlindDrams at 8pm

It was a sad day for this bottle kill. Loved this dram. Got to get another.
