I've been thinking about this for the past few days, came across a country that was "Closed" due to utilities work, but the other option was a fast moving A-road. Obviously went though it on bike and its obvious why it's closed to motor vehicles due to width but why close it to other users?

Wow, just had a look out front, there's so many people out walking very fluffy dogs. I stepped out earlier with no shoes and had to go back in for some coverings, who knows what those dogs are feeling!

Just went to the local shop on the ebike, if I'm this sweaty after 10mins of cycling, really wouldn't like to think what it would have been like walking up the hill to the shop. Its only going to get warmer... I'm going to hide inside again for a bit

Day 8 : Todmorden to Bolton Our final day, a wind down ride into Bolton (Hopefully), only 41km but I think we've done enough. First self supported multiday ride comes to a close, lessons have been learned Lie in had, coffee is being drunk and a prebreakfast of chocolate is on the cards today.

Day 7: Garforth to Todmorden (68km) Our penultimate day raising money for NW Cancer Research. Bacon's on, coffee is being drank, 9am ETD Skirting Leeds and Wakefield through Dewsbury, before heading up the Calder Valley through Hebden Bridge etc. to Todmorden. www.justgiving.com/page/judith-...

Day 6: Hornsea to Garforth. Nice surprise leaving Beverley this morning to come across a cow ridden golf course, that I'm nicknaming "Flushing Moodows".

Day 5: Seaside Holiday A rest day in Hornsea that was very welcomed! Managed to get some clothes cleaned, a few good meals a wander out to stretch out and crashing out on a sofa with a few beers. Back on it tomorrow heading to Garforth.

Looking at potentially changing our route over towards Leeds. Anyone cycled roads towards Beverly, Selby etc. rather than the TPT?

Day 4 : Highway to Hull A shorter day, leaving Scawby behind (food at the Sutton arms 😋 ) Currently fighting a losing battle with the route across the Humber Bridge not on the main road and through Hessle without sending us back across and around to Goole. Might have to franken-route it

Day 3 : A foray into Lincolnshire. Thinking of some breakfast before getting back out heading out toward Scunthorpe. 90km today with an overall net zero elevation, pretty thankful after yesterday.

Day 2 Titled: the day with a lot of climbing today on the way to Barnsley Currently forcing some porridge down my neck (I'm not a breakfast person). Then to load up the bike with all of the things. And get a move on in the next hour

Day 1 complete l! Anice little half day 60km warm up from Southport down the TPT/loop line to Runcorn Managed to avoid both showers on the way as well! Bonus! Getting fed and watered now after a hot shower and running out for travel toiletries.

Well started the carbo loading ahead of next weekend. Hardly drank for the last few months makes a nice change to have some live music and a pint
