N°22_Basilica di San Luca - 45x27cm - Oil on Linen Canvas I painted this image for the 4Season Tournaments where I'll be one of the guest artists. This will be printed as the playmat for the event. The painting portrays the Basilica di San Luca near Bologna, the city that hosts the event.

N°21_A Perfect Moment - 15,5x18,5cm - Oil on Gesso Board . Some years ago I went to dolomites and hiked to these amazing peaks. During the night I took a photo with the milky way perfectly aligned with them and now I decided to give it a try with oils and block this perfect moment.

N°20_After the Rain - 30x8,5cm - Oil on Gesso Board - SOLD . More or less every time I come back home from the mountains I stop here to see how the light falls on Piz da la Margna. That time light and clouds gifted a very nice comp so I decided to do a small painting of it.

N°19_Saoseo - 20x20cm - Oil on Gesso Board . This location is very colorful and vibrant, the water is turquoise and green, blue sky and lush forest around, looks like an unreal place...so I decided to paint it B&W.

N°11_A moody morning - 19x11cm - Oil on Gesso Board . Painted in the studio but based on a tiny plein air I did on location. I wanted to slightly change the colors for a more greenish atmosphere to force me push a less realistic light.

N°14_Montespluga - 21x15cm - Oil on Gesso Board . This was commissioned as a gift for a friend. Hopefully someone will be happy and that this painting will not finish in a drawer 🙂

N°15_Path to Bitabergh - 30x12cm - Oil on Gesso Board . I wanted to try something different this time and I struggled a bit with this. Anyway it catches the mood I wanted so at least on that side it's ok.

N°12_Le Cinque Torri, Dolomiti - 19x11cm - Oil on Gesso Board . I quite like how this moody one came out. Still find it difficult to carve some details but I guess I just need to start painting bigger. If only Dolomites would be nearer...they're full of incredible shapes waiting to be painted.

The more I look at this the more I like it!

N°16_Bitabergh - 14,5x14,5cm - Oil on Gesso Board . I really like this small lake in the Alps and come back here once in a while. All the woods around it have nice hidden vistas and spots that deserve to be painted. This will sure be a recurring location in my paintings.

N°17 - 6,5x14cm - Oil on Gesso Board . I found this old and tiny frame in a second hand shop. I restored it and did a tiny painting to fit in it.

Yesterday workshop live demo with La Galería Roja . Day one was dedicated to the sketch starting from the rough comp idea, moving into a quick greyscale and finishing then in a color sketch. Today I'll show how to paint on this and move into a more rendered and refined image.

Basic Land - Plains Magic: The Gathering - Dominaria United AD: Zack Stella . Basic lands for Dominaria sets are the cards I want to paint. Hopefully we'll come back on this plane at some point. I'm an old school nostalgic fan...Urza's block!

Another old piece based on a place I love. The BG is not like that in reality but it was, in my mind, when I was a kid and I went there to play MTG with friends.

Five years and I still like this painting. Subject and composition are nothing particular but that's the kind of stuff I like...mountains in the background and a landscape to explore.

Lake 01 - Oil 18x24cm . Finally framed. This looked easy but it was hard in the end and I don't completely like where it landed. But was fun to try and paint something different and more challenging. Good thing is that with a nice frame everything become cool!

Since a long time I'm trying to define an idea I have in my head that is too complex and I always end not doing anything visually about it. Not sure what it will become but yesterday night I decided to start sketching something. At least it's a start that maybe will help defining this strange world.

Cloud 01 - Oil 20x20cm . Another small oil painting I did a couple of months ago to practice on clouds. Wrong comp didn’t help the final result.

Capri 2122 Here the image I painted for the "Memorie dal Futuro" (memories from the Future) exhibition in Capri.

Vista - Oil 10x15cm . Very small one this time. It was hard to paint but I’m kind of happy how it turned out. Nothing crazy, just a pop of colored brushstrokes now on the coffee table in the living room.

Virtual Plein Air done using an old photo I took in...can you recognise the city? I want to come back there! When I was there, it was August I think, the area around the river was covered in spiderwebs and big spiders. Completely covered ._. it was fascinating. Here a photo of one of those too.

Great art piece

This is one of my favourite images among the ones I painted. After I did it my brain started to imagine a new world shaped around these three characters. Problem is that there's not enough time for everything, sure not enought to work on a project like this. Maybe one day, maybe never.
