This morning, I ran the 4Star Veterans Day Race in Detroit to honor our veterans. I’m proud to be the wife of a veteran, and I know we must always do everything we can to serve and protect those who’ve given so much to serve and protect all of us.

I first met Paul Tagliabue in 2017 on a tour of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta just before a Dolphins-Falcons game. After just a few minutes with him and his wife Chan, I realized he was a voting rights champion who happened to also be a former NFL Commissioner.

The Lapeer Dems know how to show up, work hard, and fight for the future of Michigan! They know that it’s on us to keep building towards a Michigan where everyone has a fair shot to succeed and I’m proud to be in this fight to deliver for communities like this one.

Right now, across Michigan, food pantries are stepping up to ensure families don't go hungry during the federal government shutdown. Michiganders are hurting, but food pantries, volunteers, and communities are stepping up.

One year from now, Michigan will make a choice about the kind of future we want. The work we do between now and then — organizing, and standing up for one another, will shape that future. Thank you to everyone that showed up tonight to make that future real and give everyone a fair shot to thrive.

Healthcare in Michigan is too expensive. Private insurers are putting profits over people. And the only thing that guarantees we see the change we need in healthcare, is if we show up, organize, speak out, and hold our leaders accountable.

Over the weekend I spoke with a single mom of three on the Teamsters picket line doing everything she can to care for her patients and her family, despite being underpaid and overworked.

What an incredible win for Michigan’s home care workers and for every family who depends on their care. Nearly 32,000 workers coming together to raise their voices and fight for fairness shows the true power of organizing and unity. This is what building a stronger Michigan looks like.

I visited the picket line with the nurses on strike from Henry Ford Genesys Hospital again this weekend. These health care heroes continue to fight for fair and safe workplaces. I’m going to keep fighting with them until they get it.

Today we celebrate the power and courage within every girl to dream boldly, speak up, and shape her own future. When girls are given the freedom and support to thrive, our communities, our state, and our world grow stronger. #InternationalDayofTheGirl

Across Michigan, people are getting crushed by the skyrocketing cost of living. And it’s not lost on me that these costs are a direct result of a broken system. One that doesn’t hear you, and too often only listens to folks at the top.

We owe Michigan’s farmers a debt of gratitude for feeding our families, sustaining our economy, and preserving our land for generations to come. I got a chance to learn a lot about the issues impacting farmers at the Michigan Bean Commission and what the state can do to solve them this week.

Unions like the Michigan Laborers District Council are the backbone of our state — building roads, bridges, and the infrastructure that keeps Michigan moving. Together, we’re fighting for good jobs, fair wages, and a future that works for all of us — and I’m proud to have them on our team.

Grand Blanc. Your resilience and strength is an inspiration to us all. You will be defined not by this tragedy, but by your beautiful, courageous response rooted in unity and love. Thank you for welcoming me to your community last night, and demonstrating the best of Michigan.

As Secretary of State, I cut waste, slashed wait times, and rebuilt trust. I want every state agency to work like that – where government is there when you need it, then gets out of the way when you don’t. It takes courage to take on a broken system, but that’s how I lead.

This is unacceptable: More than half of Detroit’s kids now live below the poverty line. We need leaders who tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure parents have what they need so kids can thrive. That’s the kind of leader I will be — and why I’ll always support programs like Rx Kids.

The budget is finally passed, and that’s good news for Michigan families. I’m grateful to the legislators who worked tirelessly to ensure we have a budget that protects Medicaid, keeps free meals in schools, expands support for new parents, and invests in education and the arts.

I had a blast drinking boba tea with the Michigan College Dems last night! These students are full of big, bold ideas for building a future where everyone can truly thrive. They all want their next governor committed to creating a Michigan that works for all of us. Go Blue!

I’ve spent the past week traveling across Michigan talking to families, educators, and community leaders. What’s clear is this: we all want our kids to have the resources they need to thrive, families want access to affordable health care, and they want their funding for essential services.

Today’s violence at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc is horrific and heartbreaking. My heart aches for the victims, their families, and the community impacted by this tragedy. I’m grateful to the first responders for their quick action to prevent even greater loss.

My kid is at the heart of this campaign. The next decade will shape his childhood and the childhood’s of all our kids when it comes to the neighborhoods they call home, the air they breathe, and the opportunities they can count on.

The Lonier family has farmed Shady Lodge Farm for six generations, with a seventh already growing up on the land. Their story is about legacy, our economy, and the future of farming in Michigan.

Michigan’s farmers keep food on our tables and fuel our economy, with literal roots in our state that go back generations.They have my support, gratitude, and commitment to ensuring Michigan helps them navigate through a challenging economy and thrive.

Anyone still denying an election they lost five years ago, doesn't belong anywhere near elected leadership in 2026. While conspiracy theorists deny reality on social media, Michiganders trust our democratic process because we’ve worked to ensure every voice is heard and every vote counts.

We are six days out from a potential government shutdown and Republicans in Lansing have proposed a budget that would gut our healthcare and raise prices. That’s why I was proud to join Teamsters today because it’s not about Democrats or Republicans—it’s about our system working for the people.
