Fun fact! When Obaken was first drafting her character all the way back in like 2020, he was actually thinking of me, specifically, who didn't even know what Assault Lily was back then. Which is to say Kurena is my baby daughter and I would literally die for her.

The true power of AL is that a character that was pretty much an extra in the more widely known anime is the same one that got me concocting headcanon after headcanon about her and her blonde wife's relationship, including 2 full blown AUs. All because of this one memoria, really.

I often see instinctive revulsion for genAI images, but rarely do I see it for translation. Sometimes J>E translation makes you loathe English because you're translating something where space is at a premium and the JP uses four characters but you're staring down a minimum of 10.

I haven't warmed up to her just yet but Marimo's design has got to be one of my favorites, I love the mix of the Ojou-sama getup with the knight boots. (i like to think that her boots are actually metal and she makes clinky noises when she walks, it'd be elegant and funny at the same time 🤭)
