A baby gate is an effective cat containment device for about 5 days, max. Freedom has been tasted before the house has been kitten-proofed.

Mike McCarthy should just let Aubrey try on every 4th down. At this point it can't hurt.

Switching from LastPass to Bitwarden after at least a decade, and surprisingly my attachments did not import. Maybe I had to purchase before doing an import?

Getting the updated COVID-19 booster today, along with the flu vaccine. I expect to be completely useless within 24 hours of the duo, with a side-effect of "out of body experience".

I recently made a series of videos where we tried to break out of the video game content area to see what was out there. I need some more ideas for video game shenanigans. Here's the most popular one.

Feature Lead: "Hey, there was a defect assigned to your coworker who worked on a feature. What do you think about it?" Me: *quick research, having never seen that code/feature* "I don't see a problem." FL: "I connected with coworker. He saw the problem, he'll fix it." Me: "ok? good talk?"

Growing up, my family had a pendulum wall clock, that made a tic-tok sound. Over those 15 years, I eventually couldn't hear the tic-tok. My brain noise-canceled the sound. I haven't seen that clock in 25 years, but I can still hear a tic-tok sound, and it still ticks perfect seconds.

That moment when you're about to wrap up an area of code and move on to the next bit of work, then realize you forgot to implement a small bit of a feature, realize you lack a data point to complete it, and now have to go all the way back to database design to implement it.

The first round-trip test of the new

architecture was successful: User requests severe weather alerts by zip code on one service (e.g. discord). Request is registered, alerts are scanned, and all services associated with the user receive alerts.

At the start of this year, I would sit down at my desk with a stacked backlog of tickets with enough feature work to cover the next 18 months. After a layoff, and new job, there is not enough work for the whole quarter to keep me busy for more than a couple days. I don't know what to do with myself

One thing I've learned over the years: between my ability to write flawless code, and a business's ability to offer an enterprise-level paid service - the mistake is *almost definitely* somewhere in my code.
