Today I finally got around to making my enemy spawners more dynamic. For the longest time it was just a lone spawned, sitting in the same static spot... but now multiple spawn in different locations on game load! #gamedev #indiegamedev #TowerDefense

Nothing like implementing new only to find something old was bugged 🙃, fortunately for me it wasn't that bugged. A subset of my grid cells didn't know their neighbors!

Over the summer I reworked my unit movement system to utilize a grid based path finding algorithm. Really happy with the results!

Added two way targeting so a unit knows all the towers targeting it and the tower maintains an accurate list of the units it is targeting, and no longer seeing it hit the defeated unit over and over! #gamedev #indiedev

Realized that AI controllers weren't cleaned up after unpossessing their controlled pawn. Little did I know that you can't destroy controllers that way 🙃instead set a short lifespan on the controller when unpossessing and poof gone!
