75mins to go the 40km to work today, due to horrendous traffic, and that was with lane splitting on the motorbike where possible. Was not happy when I finally got here.

A tough day in the office.

I put a new tv in the Teardrop, the old one was a bit too old for digital tv stations. But the new tv the volume control only goes up in 3 levels at a time. That doesn’t fit well with my headspace. But at least the tv works.

I last night’s dream the hand puppet I was babysitting refused to leave the Farmer’s Market at Hammerbarn until it had gotten an ice cream from the goat petting zoo. Ok brain, you’ve had enough, time for a little time out, hand the brain cell over to the next orange cat.

No wonder I found it difficult to go on my bike ride earlier today, the head wind was hitting 85km/h. That explains the slow pace and hard slog.

Yesterday turned into a pretty messed up day. You know it is fubar when the least stressful thing was going to VicRoads. Today hasn’t started off much better, but we’ll see how it goes.

I’ve wanted a Teardrop since 2007, but life for many reasons got in the way. This one came up and ticked all the boxes, at almost the right time, so I purchased it. The colour will change, but that’s no big deal.

0415 start at work tomorrow, which means leaving home at 0315, which means waking up at 0215 so I have time to get ready. Except 0215 doesn’t happen due to Daylight Savings Time kicking in, so I’ll be waking up at 0115, and mindful of it only being 2 hours until 0415. Take that body clock!

A friend from Perth had an hour layover in Melbourne. She was with her family of five, and the kids love Stitch. So I quickly did a batch of cookies and surprised them. I’ve never seen cookies eaten quicker. It was great to catch up with them, even if it was brief.

In my dream last night I was watching a cooking segment on tv as they made potato salad. Cut up raw potatoes, add milk, vinegar, grass clippings, and black plastic straws, then mix in a large cardboard box while crying. I will not be trying this recipe suggestion.

The Plover that has been terrorising the neighbourhood attacked the adolescent Magpie, leaving it with an injured leg and wing. Took it to the wildlife rescue for rehab. It’s mum wasn’t to pleased with me but hopefully we can be friends again.

Now that the #AFL season is over, the last thing to do is to add an extra metre to the legend of Malcolm Blight’s 1976 goal against Carlton. The total distance of the kick now stands at 136m, just a few metres shy of how far over the boundary Wayne Harmes was in the 1979 Grand Final.

Day off today, so I decided to have a bit of a sleep in, until 4:30am. That’s because my wake up time for work tomorrow is 12:15am, so if I slept any later today I wouldn’t sleep tonight. Still I might be a bit lazy and not start my housework until 6am.

Had a weird dream last night that I was at a family function. I was meeting a lot of cousins for the first time, or ones I haven’t seen in about 40 years, and none of it made sense, there was just so many of them. The whole time I was just thinking about why I don’t have a bodyguard with me?

Two hours going through the final contract for my house build. Only 7 errors found, and all things agreed to by the builder in the final statement before these plans were presented. How do these people keep their jobs when they can’t even follow the details they provided in the first place?

In 2007 I went to give my 178th blood donation, and an issue with my blood was found. Within a week I was fighting leukaemia. If I hadn’t done that donation, the issue wouldn’t have been found, and I wouldn’t be here today. If you can, give blood. The life you save may be your own.

If the conditions are just right, you can sometimes hear a train whistle from my house. I had forgotten about this, and became very worried. As I started to pee, at that exact moment a train whistle started, and I thought the sound was coming out of me, like my urethra signalling a UTI on the way.

I think for the safety of everyone Republicans in the USA should stop having babies until we’re sure that paracetamol isn’t an issue. It should only take 100 years or so to know for sure.

I’m someone who has always struggled with my weight due to a variety of medical factors, and by the start of the year it had gotten really bad. I’d tried all the ways to get the weight off, and always yo-yo-ed back. Finally got a doctor to listen to me and we put a plan in place.

Just read that there’s a rapture today. Or is it tomorrow because it will start in the USA, so that means Wednesday here? Or maybe I’ve already survived it, and now I live in a much nicer world? Yay!

Got busy and forgot to post this yesterday. This is all the trams we operated, a nice variety indeed.

Caught up with the bassist from my old band for dinner tonight. She had one line for a song and liked the key of A. An hour later we had the full thing fleshed out. I’ve missed writing like that. Best thing is even after all these years, I dialled right back into her style of writing. Big win.

I’m now qualified on this tram (and many more), looking forward to running it in service tomorrow.

Doctors I trust more than RFK Jr

After a fortnight of my purse being missing, and ordering new card replacements, today the cards arrived, along with a letter from the shopping centre 400m away saying they have my purse. The same purse I asked them about a week ago, only to be told they don’t have it.

Cleaned all the loose change out of my car’s console. There was 67.35 sitting in there. All change from when I’ve thrown coins in there instead of having it float around in my pocket.

I reckon Erin Patterson will get life without parole, but will be free to play in the Grand Final if Adelaide make it. It’s the Izak Rankine clause.

Game Show Idea: “Does It Touch?” Contestants have to say if an animal’s bum hole touches the glass when it sits down on a pane of glass. I guess it could be about other things touching the glass or not, but I think the bum holes is where the suspense and drama can be found.

Planned to ride the motorbike to work today, it’s meant to be warm and sunny. But given it was -1° when I left home, and -4° when I got to work, I’m glad I drive the cage. Call me a wimp, but I’m too old to freeze these days.

Great to hear a new episode of @cantobightpod.bsky.social, but I was wonder what the show Bad Goth was they talked about. Then I realised it was Bake Off. Still, I am interested now in a series called Bad Goth. Are they evil, or just a social outcast who doesn’t even fit in with goths?

Two of the magpies turned up, one of then seemed so happy to see me it flew in and almost gave me a hug. It was very thankful for some fresh cheese. Meanwhile two crows appear to have had enough of the tern that was terrorising the local birds, and were chasing it out of the skies.
