Fettuccini tonite with fresh tomato sauce (ripest of the backlog used!) + buns in the air fryer. Still 30ish degrees today but managed to make an indoor meal. Win.

May have started too many tomatoes for a 2 person household. xtended fam will be getting spaghetti sauce, chili base & what Brian calls 'burnt tomatoes' = cherries+ honeybunch minis in the air fryer with garlic for pizza base all winter

Fruit fly season! Head's up wine drinkers. Just tossed a full glass with four of the little rotters in it. Somebody needs to invent a window/door screen with a wee bit smaller mesh. They flew right past my trap of apple cider & dish soap. Google says they like that best. Wrong. They prefer wine.

Mesquite smoked chicken. Baby potatoes. Carrots. Broccoli. Lettuce + scallions with sour cream dressing. All but the chicken grown on site.

Prolly talking to myself again. Anybody remember Walter Bowles? In earliest memories he hosted a children's show on CBC radio. Got tv when I was 6. CBC radio was always on b4 that. I recall his voice as part of my childhood and think his kids/grandkids might like to know that he's fondly remembered

So tonite I learned how to change decimal amounts in Excel. Committee didn't like the rounding & random spacing in the monthly budget document. "Help" doesn't. Google does if you try enough different phrases. Wine & some foul language greased the wheels. Happy ending. That's what really matters

Getting ready for spring planting

1st world problem: Microwave (OTR) died. Supply issues = April b4 a replacement with installation. Brian & Edward installed a new unit today sourced "available now" search. Foul language and use of tools not mentioned in the manual ensued. Edward supervises up close and personal. Unit working great

Never in my life have I needed an emotional boost so much. Thank you Team Canada for providing it. Bursting with joy. It's our game. Thank you for winning it for all of us.

I hate to brag but just successfully installed a new printer. Only took 2 hours. There may have been some strong language involved. At no time did the setup instructions mention the need to use the menu on the xxxx printer itself to connect to the wifi. Kinda important.

Anybody else make Christmas Crepes? I stuff them with leftovers and a wee log of Balderson's old cheddar. Quick and easy meal in March/April when the turkey tedium has faded. Also: what does the photo icon look like on an android phone so I don't have to email pix to myself? Multi-tasking.

2024 kiwi harvest. Male isn't producing flowers yet. Somehow we got some fruit. Any kiwi growers know if they will be edible? They are still hard as rocks and don't want to waste one as I already know they taste nasty at this stage. Picked them because we've had a light frost.
