Sadly I had to find this first photo online as mine was missing the front cover and first dozen pages. But at 1585 pages long, I should have plenty of material to post about for the rest of the year.

Recent viewings of “Mare of Easttown”, “True Detective” season one, and “Gone Girl” have given me a taste for the whodunnit thriller genre. Unfortunately they all wrapped up kind of underwhelmingly. I still have “Reacher” season three to check out. S1 was great, S2 not so much.

For some reason, I always thought the title “Gone Girl” sounded like it belonged to some kind of a rom-com chick flick. I just watched the movie. It is not that. It was actually pretty intense. Too bad they apparently fired all the writers with like 10 minutes left to go.

My mom thought I was indigestion. 😳 (She knew she was pregnant. Just when I was ready to get out of there she didn’t believe me at first. 😅)

I wish there was something I could do with the jack o’lanterns before I give them to the squirrels. Seems like a waste to only use them for a couple hours on Halloween night. Maybe I should bring them upstairs and put them on the coffee table to be household decorations for the weekend. 🤔 🎃

I moved my baking soda out of its original box years ago so I have no idea of its age, but it is probably as old as the baking powder. The soda passed the fizz test however. My powder sank straight to the bottom without a single bubble. Even the “bad” powder in a video I watched fizzed a little.

Getting older is not as bad as they say. Physically I am stronger than ever. Not to brag, but I just carried $57 worth of groceries into the house with just one arm. I couldn’t always do that. I must be getting smarter too, because I have almost figured out how to fit them all into one bag.

I didn’t even intend to do yard work yesterday, but things kind of snowballed after I mowed the lawn. I did not intend to mow the lawn either, but the neighbors beside and across from me did theirs and I felt peer-pressured into it.

I could have put on a pair of gloves in like two minutes, but I decided to pull poison ivy barehanded for four hours yesterday instead. Less than 24 hours later and I am already paying for it. Signed, Mr. Itchy Hands.

Tonight‘s lineup of horror movies went kind of heavy on the animal murders. M3GAN killed a dog, Chucky killed a cat, and then The Prodigy kid killed a dog. I’ll have to find some movies where the animals do the killing to even things out. Should I call in Godzilla or is that an overreaction? 🦖🤔

I bought a plastic bin for powdered laundry detergent and it came with a sheet of stickers, which is like…what? Am I supposed to decorate it or something? But also what?…are they? I get the Santa and the reindeer, but the rest… 🧐 My laundry is going to be cleaner and more confusing than ever before.

Running errands this afternoon might have cost me three thousand dollars but at least I found a rock with a picture of a fish on it.

My phone’s voice dictation inserted somebody into my previous tweet called “Annette Negative”. I don’t know who that is, but I think I would probably regret going on a trip with her.

Well I went to the grocery store and got my four dollars. Also stopped by the post office and paid my property tax by mailing off a check for $3012.96. So overall the trip was a little bit of a net negative.

I didn’t do my math carefully enough at the grocery store yesterday, and now I have to make a special trip back to spend 96¢ or else I leave four dollars on the table. 😕

When I was growing up, the words “Robert Redford” were a synonym for peak male attractiveness. Ex: “Check it out, this guy gets a new haircut and all of a sudden he thinks he’s Robert Redford.” Redford was to handsome as Einstein was to smart. I spaced out last night and ran the microwave for five minutes without remembering to put my food in it first. Fortunately it doesn’t appear to have done any damage. I’d be furious at myself if I managed to keep the microwave for 37 years and then ruined it with a bonehead move like that.

I watched all five episodes of “Cunk On Britain” last night. It was brilliant and hilarious. Sadly I think her other two series might be on Netflix only, which I don’t have. There are still some more miscellaneous videos on YouTube I can check out though.

I also tried making tofu fajitas this weekend. They were plenty edible but the tofu completely crumbled. Even extra-firm tofu is much closer to egg consistency than meaty chicken consistency. Maybe there is a way to harden it up first by frying it or baking it or something.

My tofu “egg” salad came out pretty good I guess. Hard to compare exactly because I put a bunch of dill and green onion in it, which I don’t usually do. It was pretty tasty though.
