We had a wonderful time in Mahone Bay today for their Scarecrow Festival. We saw so many scarecrows, explored the fairy trail, and I met up with my old friend Merlin and their kid. For now I want to share some of the scarecrow highlights. #scarecrows

I had a great time at the Beat Beethoven 7.5K race today. I was happy with my pace of 4:59 and finishing 29th in a field of 368. Not bad for my first in-person race since 2018. After the run was a performance by Symphony Nova Scotia, including a wonderful, stirring Star Trek medley. #running

I picked up my race bib yesterday afternoon. I'm looking forward to doing my first in-person race in years, especially with the fun gimmick of having a live performance of Beethoven along the route.

I stopped to capture this mural by Shelby Plume while I was on Spring Garden Road yesterday.

When I was a kid I visited an Egyptian exhibit at a museum in Ottawa. My souvenir from the experience was scarab beads that were lost some time after that. This week I found the same beads again.

I've been slowly stickering my latest laptop. Today I added some stamp stickers for Canadian landmarks I've visited.

The early start to AEW All Out makes it easier to watch. The Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Mascara Dorada match was incredible.

I first blogged in 2001 on LiveJournal. I have done a few imports of the posts from there into the other blogging platforms I've used, but today I'm doing another import to my WordPress blog so that I can be confident it's all there in its embarassing glory.
