I run a micro label of mostly mine and my friends' music. It's bandcamp Friday, so check it if you like: space psych or heavy improv played on guitars, snares, veena, cracked pedals, voice, bottles or comps of pre-war south Indian instrumental music from 78s.

Film as a field should have agreed upon terms. The context creep of the term Expanded Cinema is unfortunate. We’ve already lost the original meaning of the term “found footage”. Wiseman already has “reality fictions” (or “observational cinema” which he despises)

I think describing the power of these videos as primarily evidentiary misunderstands how they actually function. We've known since at least the Rodney King trial that video doesn't guarantee consequences. Instead, we should think of them as political texts that galvanize the otherwise unengaged.

My partner and I had rushed from another screening and could only find a place on the aisle floor to watch the film. Fortunately the ushers didn’t make us move… it was a great spot from which to see WERKMEISTER HARMONIES unfold.

This print had been rushed from the lab in time for the premiere and was still wet. The revisers at TIFF rolled it back and forth on their rewinds at Cherry Street in a mad attempt to dry it. They managed to project it but the premiere screening destroyed the first print.
