I was getting annoyed at myself for sticking to the usual passive face every time I draw a face. So looked at Elementary screenshots and sketched facial expressions. Wanna do this more often to get more relaxed at it.

A month ago I bought castiron pans and the verdict is: I should have gotten those sooner. XD Nothing sticks to it! Veritable witchcraft.

We have been playing Clair Obscur these past weeks and have been quite smitten with it. There are many feels.

On another note: one balcony flower is covered in aphids and I had wanted to buy anti-aphid spray now for a while. In the meantime the ladybug larvae found it and are feasting now. Nature is healing.

Got beat up by Dualliste quite a bit so took a detour practicing parries and upgrading weapons. At some point, muted the game to pay more attention to the animations and it seemed to help; love the sound design but there is a lot going on that can be distracting.

What I also wanna mention is that the writing and acting in Clair Obscur are stellar. Nuances and subtleties abound and it is genuinely funny when it wants to be without being over the top. Refreshing stuff, all that!

From today's life drawing session. I got a pochade box and tripod recently and was eager to try it out. No fighting with the setup and tools anymore - it was quite nice! Before that I was huddled on the ground, watercolor kit, water pot etc. spread out around me...
