The crescendo of right wing violence mongering brings a focus on their own verbal & physical violence. Using the assassination of a man who espoused hatred of gender difference, advocated misogyny, and promoted national chauvinism they incite retribution against those they disagree with.

The thing that has made this the most hectic term start of my whole career—the crazy SSHRC deadlines for both me and my students and the fact that my university admin around these things is more “you need to get these steps done 2 weeks in advance or we aren’t signing” and less “how can we help?”
