New love has blossomed here at Farplace 💖 Phil and Ginny all snuggled up together cosy against the autumn weather. They are both young cats, we estimate Phil at around two years old and Ginny at around one year old. They are both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and ready for their new home.

Our little old boy Spike has been quite poorly recently so he’s spending some time having a little extra TLC at a foster home to try & get his strength back up Spike has kidney disease as well as calicivirus & is currently being tested for another ailment causing an upset tummy & lack of appetite.

Poppy & Snowdrop were abandoned in an allotment in a local town. When we collected them, they were underweight & had fleas and ticks. We have worked with our vets to give them the best of care. It is obvious they are a bonded pair, so need to go together to their new home.

New Dog Day! Meet Tilly - a super-nervous little girl who needs a lot of support to gain trust & confidence. Our head of animal care knows how to help her to live her best life. Tilly is also quite fond of Hector, one of our elderly doggie residents, who will be a calm and gentle influence on her.

We are over the moon to share that our sweet Kiki has officially been adopted! This bundle of joy stole our hearts as soon as she arrived. She had an awful story but still came with a wagging tail, goofy zoomies, & endless snuggles, & now she’s going to keep stealing hearts in her brand-new family!

New pretty Buttercup came to us a few days ago after the owner was struggling to care for her. She sadly had two litters of babies, all of which passed away. Tomorrow she will be getting spayed and her vaccinations. Then, when she’s healed, she will be ready to find her forever home

This is Storm. He came here as a feral in 2014. Recent tests showed he had a tumor on his thyroid. After surgery, Storm had to stay at our vets as his blood calcium levels were low. Finally they are rising & he is coming home! Please help us with his treatment by donating via www.farplace.org.uk.

Joshua update! After 3 surgeries & lots of vet visits he’s finally on the mend! Soon the wire will be removed from his jaw. He was so terrified when he came to us, but he’s now learning to trust. He has a lovely meow & purr! Thank you to everyone who supports us so we can care for these sweet beings

UPDATE on Joshua. Yesterday he had a 3rd surgery on his jaw. The fracture is so complicated that standard wiring techniques just don't hold it in place. We are hoping it is 3rd time lucky. His medical costs are spiralling at over £3,500, but today he has started to lap food for himself.

UPDATE ON JOSHUA: Sweet (but very anxious) Joshua is needing a second surgery on his smashed jaw due to the first one failing. He is at the veterinary hospital in Newcastle today for a different way of wiring his jaw, which we are hoping will work better for his complicated fracture.

This scared little boy is Joshua. When we first took him in we thought he had been involved in an RTA. His jaw was fractured and he was struggling to eat. We are not sure how long he had lived like that but he was very thin and very frightened. Our vet determined that he had actually been kicked.
