Since I got to Congress, it’s been an honor to welcome veterans, healthcare providers, community leaders, first responders, and hardworking Granite Staters to the People’s House. We are in a full-blown housing crisis – and tonight, we did something about it. We passed a package of critical, bipartisan bills that will help make sure every Granite Stater can achieve a cornerstone of the American Dream: owning a home. I’ll keep fighting to lower your housing costs.

Fantastic visit this morning at the North Atlantic States Carpenter Training Center right here in NH. Union training means good jobs, real skills, and fair wages. I’m proud to be working alongside our brothers and sisters at the North Atlantic States Carpenters Union.

We need term limits for Congress and the Supreme Court. Fresh perspectives matter. When power goes unchecked for too long, accountability erodes and dysfunction takes over. Real reform means changing the rules, so our democracy works for the people, not entrenched power.

Yesterday was about more than hockey. 🏒 It was about community, connection, and showing up for our veterans—on the ice and off it. Grateful to be at the Veterans Hockey Game yesterday with the Skate for the 22 family and the men and women reminding us that no one who served should ever stand alone.

From Amos Fortune’s fight for freedom to Dinah Whipple’s fight for equality — Black history is NH history. This Black History Month, we honor that legacy, by telling the full truth about our past and recommitting to building a future rooted in freedom, justice, and equality for every American. 🇺🇸

I will not bend the knee in the face of lawless threats and rank weaponization — I will keep doing my job and upholding my oath to our Constitution.

Thank you to my friend Rachel Rossi and the @afj.org for an important conversation about how a fair and independent justice system is mission-critical for America. I know from my time serving at the DOJ that defending independence isn’t abstract — it is foundational. And I will fight for it.

Energy costs in NH are too damn high. We need innovation-driven investments in our rural communities — but not at the expense of hardworking rural communities. Rural America should lead the future — not pay the price for it. That's what I’m fighting for in Congress.

Last week in Salem, I spent time with the firefighters and police officers who put service before self to keep Salem safe. Supporting public safety means showing up for the first responders who know their town, work to earn public trust, and deserve the resources to do their jobs safely.

As we continue learning more details about the terrible and tragic explosion on Amherst Street, my heart is with Nashua. I am praying for everyone who was injured and impacted.

Grateful for the chance yesterday to sit down with hardworking small business leaders in Nashua to hear firsthand about their challenges and how we can solve them together. As a member of the Small Business Committee, I’m working to cut through the red tape and lower costs for small businesses.

Christa McAuliffe showed the world what NH teachers stand for — the ultimate embodiment of optimism and safeguard of democracy. 40 years after the Challenger tragedy, her legacy lives on in classrooms across NH and the world, inspiring generations to dream bigger, ask questions, and reach further.

Today, we remember the 6 million Jewish people and millions of innocent children and families murdered in the Holocaust. We honor their memory by living up to our own responsibility to stand up to antisemitism and hate in all its forms and to defend the dignity of every human being.

Great visit with Chief Dubreuil at the New Boston Fire Department’s brand new station last week. Proud to see federal funding delivering real results. This beautiful station reflects years of leadership from New Boston’s former Chief Dan MacDonald — the face, voice, heart, and soul of the Dept.

Enough is enough.

We must stop the chaos, the lawlessness, and the killing. No one wants to see another American citizen shot dead in broad daylight by masked federal agents. I’m working to get the guardrails in place that will deliver the accountability and transparency we need from federal law enforcement.

We must end ICE’s campaign of fear, violence, and chaos against our communities. I will not rest until we have the guardrails to ensure federal law enforcement cooperates with our trusted local law enforcement officials and acts with professionalism, transparency, and accountability.

My heart is with Alex Pretti—a 37-year old fellow American who served our country as a registered nurse in the intensive-care unit at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Minneapolis and was shot dead by masked federal agents today. This senseless killing needs to stop. Now. My full statement is below.

Sky-high utility costs are crushing hardworking people across NH. One key driver are the big players jacking up your utility costs by exploiting Byzantine rules and regulatory systems. I’m ready to use every tool we’ve got to bring an end to this monopoly abuse and lower your costs.

Here’s a simple truth the Supreme Court once recognized: women must be free to make their own healthcare decisions. As we mark yesterday’s anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we honor what it stood for — and we recommit to restoring it.

16 years ago today, the Supreme Court took a wrecking ball to our campaign finance system. It won’t fix itself. That’s why I’m fighting for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United, ban corporate PACs, and restore commonsense safeguards so that Granite Staters decide our elections.

President Trump’s reckless threats against America’s most important allies — our NATO allies — are making our country less safe. That’s why I’m leading a bipartisan bill to prevent American taxpayer dollars from being used to attack our NATO allies. Let’s get this done and stop this madness.

Last night was a good night for New Hampshire small businesses. This is what commonsense governing looks like: lowering costs, cutting senseless red tape, and equipping hardworking Americans with the tools they need and deserve to meet the challenges and opportunities of the AI revolution.

President Trump slapped hardworking Americans with nearly $200 billion in new taxes with his unconstitutional and chaotic tariffs. I am fighting back in Congress and the courts because YOU deserve better.

Today, we are reminded of the powerful words of Dr. King: the greatness of America comes from the freedoms that founded this nation.  Dr. King believed that love should have the final word, and so do I. I will keep doing this work with everything I have—striving to be first in love, always.

Dr. King asked us to make a career of humanity, and he showed us that doing so requires empathy. It requires understanding. Above all, it requires love. It was powerful to join the Community Church of New Boston to honor together the extraordinary life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

If President Trump is serious about taking on transnational criminals cartels, why did he pardon one of the world’s most notorious  narco-traffickers? And if he’s serious about preventing overdose deaths across America, why did he make the biggest cuts to healthcare in American history?

We need term limits and a binding code of conduct and ethics for the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Thomas has been on the bench almost as long as I’ve been alive — that’s not good government. Congress can and must do something about this, and I’m working to get it done.

President Trump needs to focus on running America — not Venezuela. America cannot afford another forever war.

Immigrants make America and NH stronger. There is no ceremony more powerful than a naturalization ceremony. And this morning at our federal courthouse in Concord, I was truly honored and deeply proud to be among the first to say thank you and welcome home to our newest fellow Americans. 🇺🇸

We are not a country that detains human beings in industrial warehouses, but the Trump Administration is trying to make us one that does. I’m demanding answers and fighting back.

Public safety in America depends on public trust that law enforcement decisions are made based on the facts and the law without fear or favor. Nothing undermines that trust more than a President who uses the DOJ to reward anyone he calls a friend and target anyone he perceives to be a foe.

Our federal correctional officers in Berlin have some of the toughest jobs and most important jobs in NH. Our bipartisan bill is about ensuring fair pay for Granite Staters and ensuring our federal prison is properly staffed with the professional workforce it needs to operate justly.
