#Huevember Day Four 💛: Ginkgo...knot! The fan-shaped Gingko leaves reminded me of the shapes of a Dara Knot. The Dara knot is a very old symbol that is said to be inspired by the intertwined roots of an oak tree. The oak is said to symbolize strength, the Gingko, longevity, and resilience.

"The Owl Phoenix" - The first in a series of paintings. It's an interesting idea, wildfire is seen as destructive, yet it's an integral part of the forest's life cycle. Many seeds need fire as a catalyst to sprout. Like the phoenix, life and death are not so much opposites as one and the same.
