I'll be leaning into a weekly newsletter as social media is less effective delivering info to the the people who want it. I just sent out one today. I won't be abusing anyone's inbox - just one email a week. If you want to know about projects, art sales, and cool stuff

It's a strange take when someone says Japan is beating the Western comics creators, as if there's equal footing Manga is huge in Japan so there's huge creative development and we generally see the best/most popular work. Here, comics are fringe. Out hits still only appeal to a small market.

About to reread V for Vendetta, today being No. 5, and I had a thought: βPeople shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.β is often attributed to Moore & this book, but I can't recall it from there, but, instead from the film. Am I mistaken?

". . .a dedicated $925-million artificial intelligence (AI) fund, which Carney has identified as a priority." With all the major players in A.I. admitting there's a bubble and it's likely popping soon, this looks like a complete fiscal blunder by the Liberals. Better to spend that on Canada Post

Itβs always been hard to make it as an artist in America β and itβs becoming only harder

I can barely remember the last season of Stranger Things -- it's been 3-4 years by now. I don't think I enjoyed seasons 3 and 4 to do a rewatch. Anyone else feeling indifferent? I really liked the first two seasons, so it seems like a prime example of wasted momentum.

The Montreal assessment test (MoCA) isn't a cognitive test in the sense Dump means. It's a cognitive impairment test, often used with patients who had a stroke to check their recovery rate. It doesn't test IQ either.

Another one I see all the time in tabletop roleplaying. All demographic info we have right now points to about an even split between genders (with a not insignificant number of nonbinary players). Yet you still get dudes who say women don't play RPGs. My dude...they don't play WITH YOU.
