Today I made the UI and got Talo implemented to manage player authentication and saving/loading data per profile 😌 Talo is making dealing with the backend so much easier and it's open source with a super useful free tier!

oof I'm not great at posting in social media but I've gotten some progress on the NPC logic and got started with the UI for character customization! It'll soon be time to work on the database and I'm not looking forward to that! Also I'm teaching a Blender bootcamp in March! 😁 more info next week

I'm back! Took December to recharge and some light progress but now it's time to be a productive member of society. The CPU players now manage to place 2 bombs before taking themselves out! The website lives! And you can actually play the current state of the game there! GroundedRaven.com Lighting is a bit broken at this precise moment but I shall fix it soon. Got the hosting setup and working thanks to Alchemy Interactive, owned by an amazing guy that's an old friend of mine.

Added new match settings! Now there's the proper perma-death and you can choose your preferred match length. Smoothed the character rotation which improved the visuals a lot I think. It's really hard to play two players at the same time btw! #bomberman #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev

The lobby shows the characters, allows you to connect with a code instead of IP, and added the ability to kick players (the server host and the local host). Camera settings for the matches. Hit a big milestone today and have one announcement. Announcement is that the game will go by Mushboom from now on. Tested online for the first time and it was almost flawless with one exception of peer not being able to kick the bomb on their client. With lobby codes instead of IPs! Thanks to Tube
