Finished Jérôme Soligny’s Rainbow Man: 1967-1980, an in-depth look at Bowie’s early career/discography. Really enjoyed how it highlighted shifts in Bowie’s life and how they affected the music he made. Also enjoyed learning how much Mick Ronson contributed to those albums. #davidbowie #booksky

It was a tough game against Chicago with Walter Payton’s four TD’s on the ground, but I led a Raiders’ comeback drive to score the game-winning touchdown with 11 seconds left on the clock and won the League Championship. Dallas next for all the marbles in the Tecmo Bowl!

I thought the Toxic Avenger reboot started strong with campy grindhouse vibes, and Dinklage’s pre-transformation performance was great, but the movie sort of falls apart in the second half (IMHO). Still some funny bits and gorey satire throughout tho. Impressive cast too!

Soundcheck-ing for tomorrow’s concert at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Savannah. Playing a bunch of New Orleans tunes (Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Earl King, Fats Domino, etc…). Should be fun!

Eleven years back, an amateur portrait artist (sort of known around Savannah for scamming tourists for tips and drinks) got my dad for $40 and did a pencil drawing of me at a gig. I still laugh when I see it. Real Milton Berle-vibes. 😂
