I haven’t seen most of these episodes since I was a kid, but just revisited "The Ventriloquist's Dummy" with Don Rickles and Bobcat Goldthwait. So much fun! Rickles is great. Directed by Richard Donner with a Frank Darabont script based on Graham Ingels’ 1952 Tales From The Crypt short. Good stuff.

Lucked out with a play date for our daughter tonight at a friend’s so the Mrs. and I got an impromptu date night at our favorite taco spot. 🌮

Picked up a new set of D’Addario ear plugs. I waited way too long to start using hearing protection on stage, but these are great. They block out all of the harsher frequencies without muffling the sound, and are a pretty good bargain. Great for musicians and concert-goers! 👍

I watched Fifth Element Sunday and damn is that a fun movie. I’m sure it’s a bit of nostalgia from seeing it so much as a kid, but I still think it holds up really well. So many great performances too. 🏆

Fun show with Lyn Avenue at the Ritz in Key Biscayne last night- Catching the early flight back to Savannah so I can pick my kid up from school today.

Every time I read this story, I have to take a moment to appreciate the cover text for this Jimmy Olsen issue.

Finished! I think Volume Three resolves the overarching Life Entity plot line pretty well and the art is solid (especially during the big Hawkworld battle). I still think Paul Cornell’s Black Ring storyline in Action Comics is the better sequel to Blackest Night, but this wasn’t bad.
