When we go home today, the apartment complex gave us our 48-hour notice that maintenance would stop by to replace our internet either today or tomorrow. Guys, that’s not how time works!

I had a dream last night that I swam with a humpback whale and her calf. The calf has prosthetic flukes which fell off. A lot of the dream after that was holding people accountable for that failure.

I only did it, like, once as a kid but I feel like a lot of my problems could be solved by setting up my tent in the bedroom where I could listen to CDs by day and watch stand up comedy by night. But alas, these days my tent is too big and my room is too small. And the husband wouldn’t approve.

Maybe we should go to Swiss Chalet for my birthday. The last one in New York closed over a decade ago. I didn’t think I would miss them, but I do. My parents crossed the border into Canada to have dinner at Swiss Chalet for their anniversary one year.

Just saw a green meteor on the way home from the card store. Vividly green with an orange tail. My first thought was that it was actually a plane (or other man-made object) but it fizzled out and I doubt the Iranians are targeting the Buffalo Bills stadium.

I will hit the big 4-0 at the end of the month. Dunno how I feel about that. I don’t really think about how old I am, I tend to think about how old everything else has gotten. Favorite shows or restaurants are gone. Friends and family who are gone. My parents who expected to be grandparents by now.

Probably the one thing I look forward to every week is watching Journeys in Japan by NHK on PBS Create. It’s nice to learn about a new place with its own unique traditions and beliefs and not structure it around having a commercial break every 5 minutes.
