I’m contemplating if I try to course correct with more blonde or just cover it all with a darker color. I don’t know which will save it. I’m guessing the darker color.

WOOPS. I committed a hair atrocity that needs to be fixed…lightened my roots from my natural color too far…I have what are referred to as ‘hot roots’. Means my roots are much lighter than the rest of my hair. Not only that, but the lightening didn’t take to patches of hair.

For the first time in (probably) 18 years I’m seriously considering letting my hair grow out and go back to the color I was born with. It’s just such a boring, dull color(in my opinion) for me. But my hair has never been the same. It’s not silky smooth. It’s coarse, and brittle.

I wish I had lovely platitudes about my year and the people in it. I feel emotionally and physically drained. I am just….tired. I hate myself and I hate the things I didn’t do. I hate that I’m not nearly in the place I promised myself I’d be at the start of the year.
