The Adult Panzer Dragoon that I'm currently sculpting is about 40 cm long.😏More dragon than diorama, but it will still look great.🐉 The rough modeling is complete, but what's taking the longest now is working out the details and proportions until I'm happy. 🧐⚒️

Current status for the 2nd diorama: The wire armature is ready. 😁 I have already started roughly modeling the Adult Panzer Dragoon with my hands and a few tools. 🧰 It's a good thing I have enough time because polymer clay doesn't harden in the air. After all, I have to go to work... 😑

So that the polymer clay sticks better to the wire armature, I also wrap a thin wire. 🐉 For areas of the body where I would actually need a lot of clay, I use aluminum foil. This is a cheap filling material to save a lot of clay. 🥴

For larger figures, it is recommended to reinforce the connection points of the wire armature for more stability. I use a 2-component modeling clay for this. 🧐 🐲 Use rubber gloves 🐲 Mixing ratio of component A / component B: 1:1 🐲 Processing time: approx. 2-3 hours 🐲 Complete curing after 24 hours.

I tested the glow gel today, it is charged with the help of artificial light or sunlight. The base color that you paint it on has to be very light so that you can see it. 🖌️🎨🌚

I like to use a wet palette because it means the acrylic paints don't dry out so quickly. Different sizes and types of brushes made of sintentic and real hair. I also have a glass palette from the same brand that I haven't tested yet. 🐲🎨🧹

When the texture paste dried, I applied a wash of brown with a brush. 🧹🎨 After the wash dried, the upper structure was dry brushed with a light brown. 🥴 Added puddles, gras and foliage. There are many other texture pastes for sand, snow, water, stone etc. 🏔️❄️🪨💦

The best thing is that you are not under any time pressure with polymer clay, because it only hardens when you bake it in the oven at 130 degrees. 🐉🔥 At the end, when you are happy with the figure, you add details. These are my tools and texture rollers that really make the work easier. 🧐🧰

There are many different brands of polymer clay, currently I am working with the brand Super Sculpey, there are different degrees of hardness: soft, medium or hard. 🐲😊 At the beginning the most important tools are the hands, the figure is only roughly formed first, the details come at the end. 🙃

1. Create a wire armature that imitates the skeleton of the figure using a drawing or picture. An aluminum wire with a thickness of 2 mm is used. Position of wings and legs are marked. Polymer clay holds better on it and the figure is more stable. You can also move them after adding the clay.
