Clerget engine for the Eduard Camel, before and after painting. Replaced the pushrods with wire, plastic ones hid most of the cylinder from view. #histscalemodels

Weird little issue, the PE part Eduard included for this step is completely the wrong shape. Especially strange is that the image of the PE sheet in the instructions has it correct.

Replicated a couple modifications William Barker made to his Camel. 3D printed a jig to draw out where the cowling slots needed to be cut away. Luckily Eduard did provide a top wing with the wider opening, just had to add styrene and bend a wire to shape. #histscalemodels

Did some 3D modeling & printing for the Camel. I'm doing Barker's plane, which had funnel intakes that Eduard expects you to scratch-build. The kit seat and Vickers cooling jacket look alright, but printing gives a lot more detail. #histscalemodels

Started on my first kit of the year, Eduard's Sopwith Camel. All the various internal bits are ready for paint. Added some wire for fuel piping, plus a seat cushion I 3D printed for a previous attempt at this kit. #HistScaleModels
