Watched Fuze with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James about a bomb disposal that happens during a bank robbery. Really good film with some nice twists.

Might have to make my way through the Bond films again. Most of them anyway, I’m not sitting through Die Another Day again (despite an amazing opening).

If anyone sells my rights to an AI company after I die, I’m going to do everything in my ghostly power to turn into Skynet.

A few more hours into 007 First Light and it’s a phenomenal game. They’ve got the Bond vibe perfectly while updating the role for 2026. I hope it does well enough for a sequel as I’d like to see this Bond grow.

I’ve seen several posts today suggesting that 007: First Light is terrible because M is a woman and belittles Bond. I assume these people haven’t watched any bond films since the 1980s, because Judi Dench belittled the hell out of Bond for nearly 2 decades. Fake gamer grifter nonsense.

Watched The Mandalorian and Grogu. I really enjoyed it. It’s a fun, sci-fi, buddy adventure, and the 2 hours flew by. It’s not a top 5 Star Wars film, and I have issues with the pacing of the story, but it’s a film I’ll be happy to watch again.

Jack Ryan: Ghost War. John Krasinski continues to be a great Jack Ryan and the cast are all brilliant, but in moving to a movie format, it feels like it went for pure spectacle over everything else. Perfectly fine with some great performances.

Finished Pragamata on PS5. I didn’t know I needed to play a sci-fi, action adventure, dad simulator, but it turns out it’s one of the best games I’ve played all year. I hope there’s going to be a sequel.

Finished Atomfall on PS5. A delightfully weird, and very British game. Good fun.

Lots of "If you're an author, what's your degree in?" messages. As nice as they are to read, you don't need a degree to be an author. In fact, many authors I know don't have one. I don't have one, and I've had over 30 books published. Just something to keep in mind.

Silent Hill F is not for the faint of heart. Probably the most disturbing game I’ve played in years.

Occasionally, someone asks me what happened to the Black Library (Warhammer) story I was writing. Short version, I wrote it, they paid me for it, they decided not to use it. So, technically I was a Black Library author because I got paid, but not really because it was never published.

The Punisher: One Last Kill is a weird thing. Jon Bernthal is, as always, amazing, and when the action starts it’s excellent, but it feels like the first episode in a series not a one off. It’s an interesting side story, but never much more than that.

4K written today. Feel pretty good about it. At least until I read it back tomorrow morning.

Ready or Not 2. Not as good as the first one, but still a lot of very bloody fun.

The UK media are having the time of their lives. They must be dangerously dehydrated with the amount of energy they’re putting into their Reform love, while baying for our PM to resign.

Finished Silent Hill F (at least the first run though, still got NG+). The fighting is a bit too clunky in parts, but the setting and story are great. Still no idea what’s actually going on, but it’s genuinely unsettling even by Silent Hill standards.
