First February swim I hoped would be in the sea at Teignmouth ( less cold than the river) but found it was high tide with a swell, splashing passersby on the promenade. Lost my courage and retreated to the river where the cold was knifesharp but no waves or tide to contend with. 🤣

A Vice President of The Poetry Society, we were proud to publish him in our magazine The Poetry Review throughout his long career.
