Next figure up for carnevale is the female barnabotti this one was a tricky paint only because of a ll the detail but very happy with how it's come out 2 more to go

The Patrician gang is slowly building up now that the butlers finished really enjoyed this one so much detail in the face it was lovely to paint next up will be the two barnebotti a lot more work to do on their clothing and less on the flesh as they'll have masks

And after what seems to be an age I've managed to paint a figure one of the house staff for the Patrician's starter set from carnevale really looking forward to the new set being released and actually getting to play it as there's a few who want to play now

And the wookies are painted and so completes the rebel starter box now to play some games

Two squads finished from the rebel box set for legion last squad to go will be the wookies then the rebel heroes box so I have a few more command options

And the blades of the hollow king are finished I'm really happy with these and enjoyed painting these whole set as its been ages since I've painted a full set of any warhammer set i normally paint one and get bored but given me the buzz I forgot I had from painting

So two down one to go for the blades of the hollow king set now that sissendra is finished I've just got cado to finish I've thoughrely enjoyed painting this set and looking forward to painting some more then a few games of warcry

So finally got back to the blades of the hollow king set and first figure done is the death priest aurelias and kennistrix I've not painted any AOS stuff for ages but really enjoying these think I'll be getting some more of the special and commemorative sets in the future

Last figure for a few days and I've gone to horus heresy for this one a legion that I've never really been interested in but the more I read about them the more I liked them the iron warriors I enjoyed painting this one although freehand painting hazard stripes not as much but ill get better

Getting in the spirit of the season here's the iconic killer crew from spectre miniatures. With spectres aftermath rules coming out i thought I'd paint them as if they'd broken out of high security and gone on a rampage

First squad painted for legion nice simple scheme that im happy with got another squad to go and a scout squad

First figure finished for this week its a character from gangs of rome I've done a simple gravel base on this one as I'm not confident enough to sculpt the cobbles

Last couple of figures for a few days and I've gone to star wars legion luke skywalker and hondo ohnaka just a quick paintjob this time as I wanted to see how they came out using washes and speed paints and im happy with the outcome next the rebels troops

Next figure up is from crooked dice's temporal travellers range i was dreading painting this one but actually found it easier than I thought it would be thanks to the amazing sculpt. Not the most popular time traveller but one of the best in the audio ranges

First figure finished this week and its 40k yep got marines again and I was trying to work out what chapter to do as I had a few shoulder pads from different ones. I noticed however a few chapters had raven guard emblems so after a bit of research I've gone for the iron ravens

And where would a time traveller be without a pepperpot chasing them through the universe figure sculpted by wayne peters and printed and painted by me

Now that I've finished all the crooked dice electron range its TIME to concentrate on the temporal travellers. The first one is actually the 8th one and even the film he was in wasn't a success he's actually one of the best ones in the audio range and has had some of the best stories so WHO'S next

Carrying on with crooked dice i present the rest of the electron range this time master node and electron guards these were really nice to paint and the sculpting was superb

First figures painted in a few weeks and its back to crooked dice these are always my go to figures when I lose my enthusiasm the sculpts are awesome and the figures are very nostalgic for someone of my age as I was 12 when the film these ones are based on came out

I very rarely post w i p pictures and I don't particularly like spending time on bases but I'm very pleased with these three

And back to spectre miniatures again carrying on with my taskforce units this time the task force commander and the fire support team I still have another 10 figures to finish hopefully over the next couple of days these ones just need the bases finished

And that's the jedi hunters squad finished I hate painting black so painting two squads today was not that enjoyable but pleased with the outcome I was tempted to highlight with blue as if lighted with moonlight but it didn't feel right

And that's the shatterpoint good soldiers follow orders squad finished I'm trying to get my remaining squads finished now then move on to something else

So not much painting done lately as my mojo went a bit. I've decided to challenge myself and try to remember how to paint from a black undercoat no slapchop and no drybrushing just old school painting. So I present my first blood bowl vampire I have to admit I'm very pleased with the result

Next two spectre task force minis finished are the sniper team i wasn't sure on colour schem so a bit of improvisation occurred i also put the sniper on a longer base to protect the barrel

And we're back to spectre minis again this time a task force JTAC I wanted a desert camo effect to go with the nomads I have and also a quick scheme this one took about 20 minutes to do so I'll be using this for the rest of the task force

And in anticipation for the new spectre rules out of time I've painted my first napoleonic miniature not painted napoleonics in years after painting so many on commissions. This one is kellerman 3rd reserve cavalry corps from perry miniatures mainly painted in contrast paints

And another black scorpion female mercenary finished again white undercoat then a wash of athonian camoshade to add some shade and finished in contrast apart from the metals and feathers on the helmet next up some perry miniatures French napoleonics in readiness for spectre out of time rules

So not much painting done recently and I think i know why. I've been over complicating it working up from a black undercoat having good results but not really enjoying it. So this time white undercoat quick dark wash then contrast also I forgot how nice the black scorpion minis are

First attempt at imperial fist armour with a pink base i saw a few people using this method thought I'd have a go so I used a black undercoat first then vallejo squid pink through the airbrush my technique still needs work then the airbrush again with imperial fist contrast love the shade of yellow

Another unit of spectre miniatures finished this time the Ukrainian motor rifle unit as usual the sculpting and printing is excellent my main reason for collecting them my camouflage still needs work on but happy with the way the unit looks

That's my two units of insurgents finished for spectre I ended up painting them with the K.I.S.S method (keep it simple stupid) and im really happy with the outcome next unit will be the Ukrainian motor rifle motor squad just need to work on the camo

a little pallet cleanser for today's painting, a criminal gang with familiar faces from spectre miniatures love these figures the detail is the crispist I've seen

and that's the third temporal traveller from crooked dice finished another seven to go and pictured with his two previous incarnations

And back to crooked dice minis again the first and original temporal traveller just another 9 to go happy in general with the finish but will revisit the eyes at a later date as they're not as good as I wanted them

Latest unit of shatterpoint painted we don't need their scum set. I was really looking forward to these as the sculpts are lovely but dengar is way out of scale same height as chewbacca but pleased with the paintjob

Finally started painting again after about 3 weeks lost my painting mojo but its come back I've learnt not to force the painting but to wait so I'm back and first one down is billy butcher from the boys pack 2 for zombicide

Well I've put painting ragnar blackmane off for many years now but decided to paint him today forgot how much detail there was in space wolves with all the fur and totems but very happy with the end result

And another long time project finished a 1/48 scale F6 lightning in 11 squadron markings this is my all time favourite plane as I spent most of my childhood watching them at binbrook with my dad

First unit of insurgents from spectre miniatures finished. I had so many false starts with these not getting the camo right I nearly gave up. So decideded to just do base colours for now and im pretty happy with the outcome

And now back to spectre miniatures and the limited edition mounted nomad. I really enjoyed this figure as I've never really painted a camel before so was a bit nervous about how to paint it but very happy how it came out. I've tried to keep the colours quite neutral and am happy with the result

A very productive hobby day yesterday finished the airfix bbmf display kit a few bits not added decal wise due to shaky hands and then finished of my first unit for legion the arf squad in hindsight painting all the faces was a bit time consuming but very happy with the results

First ARF trooper finished from the new box set this one was a trial before I start the others as some of the painting I use on shatterpoint doesn't translate plus you only have a few clones in each box set wheras legion there's lots. I've also chosen to do this whole squad helmets of

So I've finally decided to jump back into legion now that some of thee new kits are coming out. I have to say I'm very impressed with the detail on the new ones just as crisp as shatterpoint but more solid and less fragile than shatterpoint. First figure up is the jedi knight from the are set

So first unit of the shatterpoint core box rework completed. I just wanted to add a bit more depth and detail to these amazing figures. And I'm a lot happier with them now.

So while I'm deciding what squad to get next for shatterpoint I thought I'd revisit some of the figures of the core set that I wasn't always happy with so the first one up is rex the first picture was the original and the second is the rework version a lot happier with this one

And lando completes the what have we here squad not sure what squad I'll do next i may try and finish of the clone wars squads and also go back over the core box again

3rd figure from the what have we here squad is lobot i thought this would be a simple paint job but to paint a large area of grey and cream and highlight without it going chalky was harder than I thought but very happy with the end result
