I watched Scarface for the first time last night. Seems real weird that people idolize Tony Montana. I'm assuming they really just liked his catchy one-liners and how much money he had, and ignored that he was a giant piece of garbage.

I thought the last reveal of The Games Awards was going to be whatever @gravitywell.games is working on, but then they go and show yet-another-free-to-play-hero-shooter by some other former Apex Legends people.

Returnal had a female protagonist and the sequel replaced it with a male. Control did the same thing.

Street Fighter the movie looks like a YouTube production shot on iPhones.

Just now realizing that "The Video Game Awards" is actually just called "The Game Awards" now. Yeah, I'm also seeing that happened like over a decade ago and I clearly never paid that much attention to the name. VGA is clearly a better acronym.

Ended up playing Vantage yesterday for the first time ever with two of my kids. Very interesting and takes a while (with quick turns), but is very non-traditional coop experience about the story and the exploration. We didn't finish the game, but absolutely got into the "just one more turn" mindset.

Been playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth since it came out on PC. Not having a ton of disposable time, that means a fairly slow pace as compared to "real gamers" today. At first it was magical, beautiful, funny, and fun but I'm almost 50 hours in and all I see is the same tasks over and over.
