I've played a fair amount of Donkey Kong Bananza now and my initial very positive impressions have been reduced to a more tepid feel overall. It's got a lot of style and personality, and a pretty good core gameplay loop, but it isn't doing enough. Lots of same-y-ness going on.

Over the weekend I started up Donkey Kong Bananza and I've gotta say that game is pretty rad. Maybe not system-selling rad, but you've gotta start somewhere. Much more interesting than Mario Kart World in my opinion.

Breaking Bad ended 12 years ago today. They were able to blast through 5 of the best seasons in television history in about 5 years time. Today, we often wait multiple years between seasons so the studios make absolutely sure they'll be profitable or it'll be canceled without a second thought.

That story about the Secret Service finding a cell farm is taking many liberties about what actually happened, the press is eating it up, and no one is questioning it. That farm was said to have been "within a 35 mile radius" of the UN, which means it could have been in New Jersey or Connecticut.

I finally beat the main quest of Skyrim. If you've never heard of it, pretty good game.

Played a few rounds of Deep Rock Galactic Survivor now that it's at 1.0 (I had played in Early Access briefly). So far it's fine, and while I do really like a lot of the mechanics, and it looks pretty great, I'm not sure it's grabbing me yet.
