Thinking about what iOS26 represents for the design zeitgeist. I like the emphasis on delight. It makes sense to be moving towards more expressive experiences. But the concept of fluid? Feels more like a gimmick with the glass metaphor and animations than a principle. Very curious about the process.

Morning thoughts: as humans, we work with survival stitched into our actions. AI doesn’t. When we give AI our work, how long until self-preservation enters the equation? And what assumptions can we make while it doesn’t? Articles welcome 🙏

If your org has a design team, it has a design system—whether it’s documented or just a chaotic loop where the only rule is no rules. The real question isn’t if you need one, but when (or if) it’s worth the investment. (I think I’ll be attaching this gif to every design systems skeet. Thank you)
