Smudge is gradually melting in the heat and slithering down the back of the armchair. He has a fan on him to keep him cooler. And his water fountain is topped up.

After a hard night getting up to shenanigans which involved a bloody ear (someone else’s blood it turned out) and throwing up on the landing, Smudge is looking forward to a nice snooze with Rod the Hog.

Smudge cat is keeping an eye out for interlopers in his garden!

Our local ginger cat has been keeping hydrated from the water we have out for the hedgehogs! We call him Nigel due to my having a friend with ginger hair with the same name. He’s a very friendly soul. He’s been visiting our garden for years!

We have a pair of magpies who have discovered our hanging baskets have nice, cosy nesting materials round the edge! I’m happy to share, but I hope they don’t break the plants off! 😂

Memories of Trigger Happy TV this morning! HELLO!

Since Mum passed away, Dad and I have been in charge of their garden. This involves so many trips to the garden centre that we are now recognised by the staff, lots of nice lunches and a lot of planting. We don’t know what we are doing but we are having fun!

I spotted two hedgehogs having an argument last night. Lots of huffing and puffing! This is the only issue with feeding them, it does mean that there are more incidents of them bumping into each other! I would prefer that they got along with each other. Hey ho.

Thought it was the Easter bunny. But it wasn’t. So no chocolate eggs. Boo.
